  1. If folk on there told me it was Monday i'd double check it. I seem to remember there being something on twitter that said he was a motherwell fan. Twitter...well known for truthful facts y'know
  2. I'm far from convinced either. 6 games isn't enough to judge and 2 of those were against the bottom team at the time. The longer it goes, the less convinced i am that the club actually know what they are doing. Personally, i feel that Cormack is looking for the cheap option (again) and a win at Perth next weekend will see him get it.
  3. Anyone else just getting sick of waiting to see what the club are going to do? I'm at the stage of saying "just fucking appoint Robson and be done with it ffs"
  4. We'd probably have to let both Roos and Lewis leave. If it was a possibility Gorter would command a high wage and both Lewis and Roos are already amongst our top earners.
  5. Doing multiple stepovers to try and bamboozle the invisible man in front of him.
  6. He never really played anywhere. Often on the pitch but compared to others f**k knows what sport he was participating in.
  7. I'm the same. I just think it's too risky. And i don't think the club are thinking he's the answer either or they'd have appointed him by now. I think both him and Agnew have been told there are senior roles within the new management team there if they want them though. I just can't see Cormack going for another manager in his first job. If it goes wrong it's another on him and who's going to cut him much slack? Not many imo. Apart from the Top Reds.
  8. My concern is just the lack of experience when we hit a sticky patch. And also Agnew. We don't know what his long term plans are? Maybe he has no intention of staying ling term. At which point where does that leave Robson? Agnew has obviously been instrumental.
  9. . All the hype on Twitter and it was all about new season tickets. Harvey pulling everyone's plunger with the disguised Norwegian reference. Let's be honest. Nobody has a clue.
  10. Unless it's an overseas manager who has to wait for Visa and work permit etc before they can officially start?
  11. It wouldn't shock me. It'll be interesting to see what happens on Saturday. Should we end up losing i think that should spell the end of Robson being mentioned. Because let's be fair, we laboured to a win agains Livingston and we beat Motherwell and Dundee United when both were bottom of the league. This is Robson's first big test.
  12. It's getting pretty tedious. And it's only going to generate a shitload of ill-feeling towards the club after Cormack's theatrics on the BBC saying he's determined to get it right only then to appoint another rookie. Rodriguez is the most interesting one for me. For the names that have been linked (very few i know) he's the one that seems to fit the "strateegee". I do tgink we put all of our eggs in the Wilder basket and now we're flapping about like a goldfish in a leaky bag because we've no back up.
  13. I think it depends on who it is that comes in. If it was somebody like Rodriguez I can't see him having his own backroom as he's literally managed all over the world. I think he'd be happy having some local knowledge. And his record suggests he'd be here 18 months to 2 years max. The problem being we don't actually know who has been interviewed for the job so it's near impossible to speculate.
  14. It's not the answer. If it is Robson then the clubs board have dug their own graves. I like Barry Robson and a couple of years being assistant to an experienced manager and i'd probably be happy having him as manager. But right now is not the time for another rookie.
  15. Or the club could just do their jobs and hire a fucking manager.
  16. Well tbf our current chairman appointed his mate so wouldn't be out of the question
  17. Exactly that. The recruitment process has only really been going for 2 weeks. It's quite telling that when the news came out about Cormack having heart surgery there was a big emphasis on them saying Alan Burrows would be involved in the selection process. Almost as if the club don't trust Gunn to pick the man who will be working under him....
  18. I agree that he should be going now. But the club will look at appoint the new manager first and foremost. Then i think in the summer we'll find Gunn moved back to his old role. The new manager might also have suggestions for DoF candidates. Especially if it's an overseas manager. He'll know people from leagues he's worked in. I'd rather have a DoF the manager knows he can work with.
  19. Out of that list of contracted players you mention then Barron will likely be sold considering he's not signed an extension and he'll only have 12 months left. MacKenzie for me isn't good enough. Certainly not as a starter. I'd be surprised if both Miovski and Duk are still with us come the start of the season. I think one will be sold to help fund the rebuild (and we all know which one it'll be). Like you say, hopefully Alan Burrows gets the job done and gets us the manager us fans deserve.
  20. Are you being serious? There's about 15 players leaving/out of contract. How is that not on the same scale as last summer? It's even more important based on how poor last summer actually turned out to be. Gunn being poor at his job has nothing to do with him not having a coaching or playing background (which a DoF should have anyway, but that's not the point). It's not a rumour either. I'd be surprised if Gunn is still in his post come the summer tbh. He's got a stay right now because the manager's job is taking priority. Let's just say there's been a few people that have got in contact with Gunn and he's never got back to them. But Burrows did. Shinnie probably will sign permanently in the summer. If we want him to that is. MacDonald i'm not too sure about. This is a shop window for him.
