  1. So Biereth and Butcher haven’t turned it round. That’s us fucked then. A performance straight from the Hammell era. Kettlewell will do well to still be in post at Christmas.
  2. As I said in a pre-match post, why not start them? Rather than bring them on when we’re 2-0 down? 2 games in a row we’ve had no urgency.
  3. What’s the plan Kettlewell? On course for 1 point from 18 and 3 howling performances in a row which has seen the decent start to the season completely undone and now in free fall. Are we just to stumble along until hopefully Butcher and Biereth are fully fit? Cos I can see a few flaws with that plan.
  4. We are absolutely garbage. Not a single shot on target in the first half and Aberdeen who have not been in great form are winning this at a canter.
  5. Surely if we can shoehorn Spencer in as a left wing back we could find a way to replace Mugabi with Blaney? I get Biereth only being a sub after a while out but I wonder if he could feature from the start rather than bring him on when we 2-0 down? Same with Butcher. At least Kettlewell has eyes and Bair and Shaw are now permanently glued to the bench.
  6. Hopefully that doesn’t mean we’re putting on a horror show later.
  7. I get that Blaney is left footed but Spencer is right footed and has been getting played on the right so surely Blaney could be coached/adapted to play where he needs to in the back 3?
  8. Definitely. Butcher should play as much as possible tomorrow but I’d save him from Killie’s pitch on Saturday.
  9. I read Robsons comments before I seen Kettlewell’s response and it certainly raised an eyebrow. I’d rather our manager didn’t indulge in such stuff, leave that to others. That said, I don’t really care what managers/players say these days.
  10. I was quite surprised at the Aberdeen result on Sunday and also that they were apparently poor. However I also saw with my own eyes how bad we were and how we defended on Saturday. I still think Aberdeen have some very good players and they will probably go on to have a decent season especially when they’re no longer distracted by Europe so will probably nick this. Hopefully Butcher starts and Bair and Shaw don’t. I expect Biereth will only appear from the bench later on unfortunately as he makes his way back to full fitness.
  11. Bit of pressure on Kettlewell now imo. Need a couple of wins from next 4 games, which doubt we’ll get. Aberdeen, Killie away, St Johnstone away, then Hearts. Can’t see it unfortunately. You can’t go 9/10 games without a win, especially if 7/8 are defeats. A lot hinges on Biereth staying fit, and that’s not a good place to be.
  12. That’s many St Mirren fans in a nutshelL since their good form started.
  13. Bair’s stats alone before we signed him should’ve meant we went nowhere near him. He’s now had a really decent amount of minutes in the team and proven beyond all doubt that the stats haven’t been misleading. Shaw was clearly a panic signing and yet more money chucked away on an empty jersey.
  14. Bair will never score for us again and Shaw will never score 1. I’d be happy if neither played again for us, both absolutely atrocious. Like was posted above, the wingback situation is the latest worry. I’ve never rated O’Donnell and he was rotten today. Gent seemingly can’t defend so these are both areas of concern. I wasn’t at Livingston but that’s easily the worst Slattery, Spittal and Paton have played this season for me. We might have snatched a draw, but it feels like a defeat it was so bad throughout.
  15. We are beyond shocking today. Kettlewell needs to fix this as we in free fall with a defeat today.
  16. Bit of pressure to win on Saturday I’d say, naw? Defeat doesn’t bear thinking about.
  17. It’s been generally accepted that Bair has only been playing as much due to injuries but Wilkinson is now available again and Shaw arrived with no issues so I’m not so sure that’s the case as much now as there has been other options for the past few games.
  18. St Johnstone’s first home win of the season incoming if the game goes ahead. The stats suggested Bair wasn’t going to fire us to glory every week and surprise surprise that’s how it’s panning out. Time for Wilkinson and Shaw to get a run together and hope they’re not as bad as they look.
  19. Quite easily sadly. Especially if we persist with 1 up front and don’t sort out the full backs. ie Spencer on the right and either Souaré or Gent on the left.
  20. I would if he was injured and/or we could hit a coo on the arse ourselves. He’s coming off the bench and scoring for Utd, exactly what many have advocated he could do for us. We have the worst collection of forwards of any team in the league and our own worst collection since the season we had Main, Bowman, Johnson and Sammon.
  21. Louis Moult equalises for Utd. Missed one game, so much for being being crocked. Never mind, we have Bair, Wilkinson, Obika and Shaw! Absolute humpties every one of them!
