I’d take a defeat if it meant he was replaced. However, I’m worried his PCA signings (one confirmed and rumoured) suggest he’s here regardless of what happens this season.

Cammy Kerry is poor. Feel bad saying that because he’s one of the few who gives everything and you can see it means a lot to him playing for Dundee. But he’s simply not good enough to start for a premiership side looking to survive. If he was a player who we signed from down south or wherever else and had no affiliation with the club at all, he’d have been gone ages ago and fans would have been happy. However, Fontaine, Marshall, Sweeney, Elliot, Adam, Griffiths, Sheridan, and McGowan are also not good enough. Some can play a squad role but you can’t rely on those players if you want to stay up. Doesn’t look good like.

Back up? In an ideal world absolutely. However, he’s got absolute dross playing in front of him. The entire back 4 are terrible. Average Championship standard. And that’s why we’ll struggle to even make a play-off place. in fact, I’m pretty sure statistically our defence was something like second worst last season in the Championship? I get it’s a whole team who play a role in defending but absolutely Indefensible (pun not intended) that McPake has gone into the Premiership with largely the same defence. Arghhh how shite is it being a Dundee fan?!

That was tragic. Unfit, Uncoached, slow, laboured, passive. We are a mess on and off the park. McPake does need to go. However, who the f**k would Nelms appoint next? Thing that frustrates me is that each manager is backed in terms of a wage structure for the squad but why don’t we invest in a manager? Absolute shambles.

What is SPL quality though? Be interesting to see how many of the current strikers in the league aren’t good enough for top flight based on your measure yet still represent teams that make up the league.

Agreed, however his distribution is horrendous. We need full backs and another centre half of we’re to stay up I feel.

Wasn’t in my team but can understand why others have opted for him. His limitations are there to see, can lose the ball in possession a lot, and not mobile, but his quality is still class. His left foot will have been the difference if we stay up.

Get in, Aberdeen are absolutely abject. Expected more from them despite their equally poor run. Adam returning is massive, he was brilliant. Game had the lot, but really pleased with how aggressive we were. Hope Byrne is OK but looked a sore one. One of those challenges you can argue either way, I thought it was excessive but not with intent. A goal for Griffiths, a real team performance, and 3 points. We’re up and running!

The Kettledrum?

Fair result. Was expecting more from St Mirren given they narrowly lost out on top six last season. Missed Byrne and McGhee in middle of the park, two of our most important players. Still need some reinforcements but good point in the end. Main is dreadful by the way. Just saying.
