Seems like a positive discussion has taken place re the Tanner Fund. I can certainly see merit in taking a slightly longer term view. Any opinions?
Just echoing the comments above, pleased to hear the announcement but a great shame it wasn't at least six weeks ago.
Let's see if the players have the ability to respond to the change. Fingers crossed.
AJ: Repeat after me, QOS are a progressive, free-flowing, ball-playing football team, based on the Dutch total football philosophy where every player can play anywhere on the pitch (apart from their own natural, preferred position, of course).
Yes, fully agree re Izzy Jones. Talent, good attitude and hard work are a great combination.
Onto a more depressing subject, I've just been looking at the league table (I know, but I can't help myself) and the form guide for the last five games makes grim reading:
Hamilton - 5 points
Dunfermline - 8 points
Ayr - 7 points
Morton - 8 points
QOS - 2 points
It's already desperate, but another similar run and it's bye-bye Championship (and for how long?).
I still haven't recovered from Saturday's game yet. That first half was truly, truly awful. To say that we improved second half is definitely putting a positive spin on it. More accurately, we found it impossible to remain as useless as we were in the first half.
It's taken me a couple of days to bring myself to catch up with the chat here; depressing (but accurate) stuff in the main. The club has a real sense of being on a downward slide. If things remain the same the fans are going to keep dwindling away. Our three season tickets won't be renewed for a start. A real shame but I don't see any real effort being made by those in charge.
I was talking to my boys about that last week. I wasn't far off, guessing that it must have cost our club getting towards £50K. A real shame, both financially and for the atmosphere at the games.
