Desperately wanting to avoid people losing jobs and returning to restrictions that for many, many people are destroying their mental health = entitlement.

Away and take a f**k to yourself you c**t.

Mental Health is nothing but an overused buzzword and Tesco will always need shelf stackers

Ok, just back from a family funeral, so didn't see the announcement or experience the "joys" of watching this thread develop since.

If the rest of it are anything like the first few post-announcement pages, I'm reminded of three things.

    1) why many football fans are held in such utter contempt by wide sections of the population,

    2) why, on public health matters, I'm glad that politicians seek guidance from folk like health professionals and not from what pass for sentient beings on a football forum and

    3) why, when folk like us have health concerns, we go to doctors and don't instead phone Radio Scotland's Sportsound or Radio effin Clyde.

I'll leave you to have a good seethe and instead of witnessing any more stupidity in print I'll go and open the bottle of malt which was the last present I received from the dearly departed.

there is just no talking to the bell ends on here, its staggering just how strong their ''we know what's best'' stance is.

You’ll make no gains with that shit. You probably do curls in the squat rack, walk on the treadmill for half an hour and complain to the front desk when someone doing deadlifts makes a noise.

    people only make a noise or drop weights to attract attention, {no longer anywhere near this, but i was once strong enough to pick up 240kgs, i never ever let it clatter onto the floor, that's what fannies do}

Spider-Man: Home on the Range (cinema) - a young man is bitten by a radioactive spider. No spoilers, but you won't believe what happens next!

Really enjoyed this. Lovely to see some of the returning characters, and they pulled off the overarching premise nicely (albeit with practice from Into the Spider-Verse). There are some genuinely touching moments, some nice closure for prior storylines, and some quality work from the experienced thesps (although Tom Holland and Zendaya are quite charming). It finally feels like the Spidering Dude is part of Marvel's official universe, rather than a nice add-on. For the first time, I'm interested to see where they go with him now.

i have never seen one of these movies, Christopher Reeves as Superman & Michael Keaton as Batman is where it ended for me, i am firmly in the Martin Scorsese camp.

Jaws is a monster movie similar to Alien or Predator.  As such there is always the issue of a convincing monster or not.  I can think of several films that went downhill when the monster appears - possibly most.

However the alien crab crawl scene was thankfully cut from Alien.  Jean Claude Van Damne was thankfully not the Predator.  Jaws benefitted from shark problems reducing the screen time for the shark and the music being an excellent substitute.

Suggesting the shark looked fake is an easy excuse.  Guess what.  It was.

    Definitely an excellent film 10/10.

hey, you don't need to convince me i'm from that era, but there are a lot of 20 & 30 something that piss on old movies while using words like ''awesome'' for shite comic book movies, don't talk to me about fake when you mention that bag of w**k

I always assumed that was the reading of that song. Problem is, there are apparently men who would read it as coercion and think that's OK. It appears there are a lot of them out there, and they don't need support.

Quite like the version Tom Jones and the Catatonia lassie (whose name I always remember as Nerys Hughes) did, but no doubt someone will link to the "fixed" version that some roasters released a few years ago. Just dreadful.

Nerys Hughes was Half Man Half Biscuit,

That was Welsh government policy I believe.

Kettles were deemed non-essential as there are ‘other methods for booking water’.

yes, something to do with kettle selling stores that had been forced to close complained it was unfair supermarkets had a free run at trading such items

Nothing in Scotland compares to some of the utter kowps you get in London as anyone who has gone for a pint near Spurs will know. The buildings are literally falling down and reek of piss.

never been in a pub for over well over a decade, but i've been in a few rough as f**k joints in Salford, apparently i missed someone getting shot in the face by a couple of weeks.
