  1. The decision of the manager will most likely come down to one man. However with input from the board I think the board have been fantastic with their previous appointments on paper and I include bollan in that I have trust in them. All I would ask is that fans really get behind 5he team next cpl games until sum1 appointed. Also let's be positive in our mindset on and off the pitch no doom n gloom no excuses.
  2. Jardine/brian rice/canning/John Hughes. Absolute ridiculous 3 of my 4 but u never know...
  3. You make some valid points my friend. The club has acted and in my opinion do so with the best intentions of the club. There is no guarantee a new manager will b thr saviour however what was evident is that change was required. I'm fairly confident whomever the new manager is we can get out of the mess we are in. The players need a new voice and in my opinion any team that has NO pace and literally I mean no pace in their attacking intent needs to b remedied. I'm actually thinkin the worst footballer in world but if he has pace sign him. Haha. I also personally didnt like bollan as a figurehead of the club. I didnt get a good vibe from him. I thought his demeanor his attitude his discipline and ultimately performance was poor. I didnt get a warm inviting feeling from him like previous managers. It's a big thing having an approachable manager for a small fan base club that's my opinion anyway
  4. Well done to donald. I praise his patience. However again he has made the right decision
  5. I did find it baffling a little why there was after match comments when not a lot has been done previously. This could be down to volunteers needing to interview etc etc. However the positive is that at least he spoke out after the game. I just hope the trend continues for future matches win lose or draw.
  6. Oh Al. You still spewing I note. Fantastic. Hes still spewing from his tenerife sesh last week. Wasnt at the stenny game..
  7. Our best "footballer" by a country mile. Sometimes too one paced. I feel he gets frustrated with some of the players in front or alongside as they are limited and sometimes not on his wavelength. His workrate off the ball is questionable. Got subbed Sat and for sure wasnt happy.. good signing nonetheless. The proverbial player willing to take the ball off others and dictate however you need others to have movement and ability and we lack that sadly thus he can get caught on the ball a lot. Would like to see more from him in terms of an OOMPH or play as though he has another gear..
  8. kane hemmings greg stewart markus P. All streets ahead of anyone in the lower leagues.
  9. I dont think the board have ever made a rash decision. I think there has been times in bollans tenure where he has been under pressure. We haven't reacted. However the faith and goodwill and confidence should be evaporating at a massive rate. Thus I see no alternative than to try bring sum1 in with new fresh ideas it's a risk however every signing/appointmentbus a risk. I think it's one that would pay off for us. Now to the little thing called money and how we go about getting out of the situation. I'm certain bollan will b in charge for Saturday. However lose and I'm also sure he wont b there for the following game. Another broxburn escapade is then the last straw.
  10. I know its really really hard to be positive right now however it's something we have to be. Let's not be defeated in our mindset. I agree manager should change however my thought process is that it could cost somewhere between 10 and 20k to get rid of the manager If we had that lying around we would have 1 or 2 better players.. I personally feel gary has to review his own position but his character is such he wont do that. He MUST win Saturday otherwise the money required to get rid of him must b found somehow.. We have Lower league experience within the ranks.. we dont put enough faith in fringe players and perhaps they are not good enough but we need hungry players willing to prove manager they r worth a start.. gary is too loyal for his own good. With all the facts pros and cons laid bare it would point too the manager not being good enough and I think offering him a new co tract was our biggest mistake. Let's get behind players Saturday they r lacking confidence..
  11. I'm taking the approach here of analysing the overall situation not just on today's performance. My conclusion after thought is that bollan is not the man who should be our manager any longer. We are bottom of the league. Our team is capable of more. Last season we were garbage. I think he has won only 9 games in about 40 league games... he has overseen one of the worst results in cowden memory with not beating broxburn over 2 games in scottish. 2 or 3 of our promising players have regressed under his management. Bollans and his staffs discipline record is shocking over his tenure. Bollans style of play is that of someone from 1980s. His "coaching" is nowhere near up to standard in that we are a predictable team to counteract and scout. Bollans substitutions are poor. Bollans overall signing policy has been a fail Life is not so easy to simply say sack him. It's not that simple. It costs money. It would cost money to bring in sum1 new. It would then mean a new manager would have to almost certainly offload b4 he can bring in. Offloading players under contract is also not easy. I think the club and board are people who are loyal and who show faith. However after analysing the situation I see no alternative to try find a solution. If I was Bollan I would be reviewing my own situation and say ok this clubs been good to me. Maybe I should step aside but I think his character is such that wont happen. Satirday for me is the game where dont win and there literally is no alternative but pay up his remaining 6 to 7 .months contract and go another route with someone who would work for very little initially with the potential of a new improved contract for following season. There will be a lot of managers out there looking to get back in. Finding the "right" one is the issue. I should also say the players let the club down today too and I feel 5hats first time this season I can say that. Usually they work hard and fight today they didnt.
  12. Terrible terrible performance. Stenny deserved it. Players showed zero out there. I dont think stenny are that good however that's not a slight on them that's actually an indication of how bad we are. Out fought outplayed outworked. That for the biggest game of the season is not good enough.
  13. 1-1 draw. Expect Gary to go back to basics defensive wise and potentially be even more defensive than he normally is. Good old fashioned 4-4-2 for me with bobby barr left and buchanan right. Hutton and miller in middle of pitch(maybe gav if he is fit enough) renton and bucks. Time for some no nonsense defending and not being pretty in our approach (not that we are ever really that pretty in our approach right enough) will create 2 maybe 3 chances - have to take 1 minimum.
  14. Most likely a little thing called Money and the fact the board will believe he can turn it around.
  15. Alarming result on Saturday.I wasnt there so cant comment on the performance however we could be brilliant and if we lose thats no good just now. 4 nil defeat to anyone is tough to take and the team although working hard is shy of confidence and falling into that losing feeling way too easy even when playing well. Time for Bollan and the players to step up show a bit steel and determination to go keep hold of results and be aggressive in our mentality on the pitch. We are too weak in our mindset its so obvious. Massive game away to EDI city and even a point would be acceptable given our current run of form.No wins in 7 or 8 I think and 6 or 7 defeats out of that.
  16. He very rarely finds himself in positions to score. A lot of his work is defensive (bollans way of playing wide players really) p.s nelly 1 new account old nelly account is deed.
