Just popping on to congratulate Stenny. Its great to see so many fans experience this as its something to treasure and believe me from a Cowden perspective do cherish it. I take my hat off to lads like Neilly and Fran Fabregas who have like myself been on that journey of watching their clubs from a young age up to their cough cough late 30s.... We have had a few ding dongs over the years stenny and cowden fans and the clubs alike but It does mean something to win a league title at clubs like ours with fanbases like ours more so than other clubs. Im also not jealous in the slightest like....!! lol. I said last season that after speaking to Gary Naysmith about a few things he was 100% the right man to take the club forward and a great guy also. Stenny have pipped cowden to a couple of signings and happy to see those lads doing well. Enjoy the ride and soak up every moment. Congrats

Well done firstly to the players for a really gutsy hard fought win. We were excellent first half and 2nd half we dug it out yet still created chances!. Hard to single out players as that was a proper team effort but good to see doc get a goal again and looking confident. Massive well done to stevie and his staff having only had 2 training sessions. Few injuries mounting up and niggles hence 2 young BB boys club lads on bench who have never played anywhere near this level. Good result. Go again next week. Mon the cowden.

Well last 48 hours has been eventful. Sadly we lost our manager. The club wanted Calum to stay he unfortunately decided to go. Thus we move on. Does leave us now up against it in regards to what our plans were for moving forward and next season etc however short term I can confirm we are trying to get someone in to help us to end season at least until we take stock and re group and the club decide on best course of action for a permanent manager. Big game Saturday please do really get behind the players they will appreciate it. In regards to signed players yes wr have a bulk of players signed up including robbie/ewan etc. Ewan is unfortunately injured likely for next 4 or 5 games so unlikely to be seen b4 end season. Thought I should also say well done to you Brandon Coventry who came on again yesterday at 16 and showed maturity and quality. He's playing boys club football so no experience at all anywhere near this level. I think also the manager has to be commended and acknowledged for having the nous and guts to throw that kid in and support the BB boys club (we had 5 training with us this week). We have 1 or 2 injuries (macpherson brothers both missed yesterday) so utilising the young lads is a positive step and engages with one of our core principles to interact more with community and the local boys club.

To pick up on yesterday's game again my opinion only. I thought we were better. I thought we created unbelievable chances I know this as I've watched the game back already!. To create 11 chances in a game of football at any level is good but to not convert is criminal and the reason we lost. I think you saw a group of players who ran and worked hard and gave 100% unfortunately composure and poor lapses at 2 goals have cost us the game. I felt we were in total control that first 45 minutes and 2nd half we lose a calamity of a goal. Mountain to climb stuff. Not happy losing games in fact it kills me. It hurts. I know these players are good players we all pretty much said the same earlier in season or at times. The manager is a good manager however he cannot put the ball in the net. He can't make players go attack the ball at set plays etc. As a whole we have to take responsibility club down to the players. Big game next week we have had 2 bad defeats after a run of 4 unbeaten so hope the tide turns to another 4 unbeaten. Mon the cowden.

Hi Only coo. Read your post and I know you are a loyal supporter who cares and entitled to your opinion. To challenge some of your points however We can still achieve top 8. Granted this club is NOT happy being there but it is achievable. You have agreed calum was a good choice for new manager eg a good fit. The club appointed him and I believe he was/is the right person. We are a more attractive team to watch of that there is zero doubt but I understand this game is about wanting to win every Saturday. I don't think we can say that team is garbage I think that is unfair. Robbie mcnab/matty mcdonald/ ewan/Zac etc they are not bad players and earlier in season we are lauding them for their performances. 3 of those 4 are signed up for next season fyi. To have a squad of 18 or 19 everyone will always have opinions on olayers good or bad I get that and tbh to have a squad of 18 or 19 players where every player is loved is well impossible. Calum is working 24/7 to get results he works tirelessly to improve the team/performance etc. He has done a good job albeit I think we can all agree we had hoped our position would be better currently. Our cup runs have been a positive and our creation of chances and style of play has been a positive (perhaps last 2 games and some particular games aside). I understand everyone's frustration I really really do. I wanted to lock myself in a cupboard last week. I have confidence in the management and the players. We need to add in summer to help the group and that hard work already started weeks ago. This season has had a lot of ups and downs more ups than season 22/23 that is for sure albeit I do think we should be in a better position we are 100%. Being a cowden fan ain't easy in fact I've always said it's the hardest gig in Scottish football this is why I commend everyone for supporting this club. I hate when we lose hate it we take it personally. 4 games left and I hope the team can deliver wins. Keep supporting. Mon the cowden.

Good player mate. Atheltic and powerful runner. Good with the ball and an asset down the right side. Loads of potential.

Zac would be a good one yes. Mango has stopped pretty much as has Craig. Im sure both had offers to get back into football. I think I heard someone say Craig started his own business maybe wrong though.

Just a reminder that CISS is holding a meeting/gathering after the game Saturday in the club. Its vital as many members and potential new members/fans can come to this. The work done by the people running the CISS is huge as we can see by the new club ambassadors etc. Would be great to get more members signed up as this will help with budget and recruitment for next season. A lot of work going in to next season already (started a few months ago to be fair) I think we can all agree the extension of contracts for players builds a really good core for the club for next season and progression for sure has been made this season from last however we are all looking to push forward even further. Hopefully good turn out on Saturday and future games as well as the big day against Berwick at home!. Mon the Cowden.

The team had a behind closed doors game at Central last night vs Hill of beath and ran out 5-1 winners. Scorers were. Berry with the 1st. Then healy with a double. Ewan macpherson then Adam mcdonald. Scorer for haws was ex cowden man lovey. Hopefully game on Saturday and a good turnout.

Some positive news on Xmas. We have extended Gregor Jordans contract and he will be with us next season. Gregor has been superb this season and in my opinion our most consistent player. Good extension from perspective of defensive continuity as robbie/greg and Andy rodden also signed up for next season. Hope to see as many fans as possible tomorrow at falkirk stadium and get behind the lads to kick on the winning momentum in what shall be a tough game. Mon the coo.

Great 3 points on the road in tough conditions against a tough/difficult team to play against. Boys were magnificent and showed both sides of the game. Defensively very good. 2 wins and a draw last 3 games so hopefully continue the good run on boxing day and keep trying to pick ourselves up the table. little update for fans. Bounce game last night against penicuik away. Cowden won 8-2. Scorers ewan x 3/Josh Jack x 2/Michael Cunningham/Andy Rodden and Trialist. hopefully weather stays ok for game Saturday. Mone the Cowden.

Great effort from the fans e.g ticket numbers thus far. Long journey and although it wasnt/isnt the perfect draw just to be in this round i spose is a bonus compared to previous disastrous scottish cup campaigns. Dont think we have been in 3rd round in last 4 years maybe 5? The players and staff will give their all of that I have no doubt. Well davo is away for 6 months to America.Left yesterday so probs not.. top lad and player but he didn't want to play this season.

There is no issue with the pitch as it stands. It is one of the best drainage pitches in Scottish football. I'm sure if any doubt there will be an inspection planned early in morning like normal. A lot of games in Central belt are all on still. The games to be postponed all appear to be fro. Perth northwards.

Another good win today and that's 4 wins out of 5 and 1 defeat in 6. Again winning is a good habit to get into regardless of competition or opposition. Brilliant to see Aiden back today who was superb and everyone can see is a huge asset to the club. Another sign of progression in terms of winning games and progressing in competitions. Different challenge on Wednesday which is effectively in my opinion the toughest fixture we can have in the league. Away to a strong tranent team midweek!. Hopefully come away with a win/draw. Zac was indeed fantastic and a pleasure to watch and again great to have a lad like this in our club. I'm sure we would like to try get players of his calibre signed up for the future. The injured players are slowly but surely on way back to recovery 1 of whom will hopefully be back really soon. The other maybe 3-4 weeks away. Disappointing result and performance last week and for sure the poorest since the start of the season. However these boys have done well and im confident of a reaction at the weekend. The improvement in the squad and play has been significant so the progression is still there albeit with a poor loss last weekend after the high of going through the Scottish the week before. The bench is almost full now so we have good options and versatility within the playing side. A chance to go get 3 points saturday on a really good surface. Gretna have improved 100% since the start of the season so the game will be a real difficult one. Look forward to a good support and im confident the lads will give you all something to cheer come 5pm Saturday. Big month is October so the more fans that can help us the better. No doubt the biggest game is Scottish against Kilwinning not from just getting through another round but financially its a biggy.
