Clearly any talk of a rebuild is nonsense- we have the basis of a good side for next season. However, it will be a step up and we will require additional quality in a number of positions imo.
Long, McKay, McGinn and Lawal will be leaving. Personally I also wouldn’t be retaining Mackie, Oliver or Shanley and would look to move Allan on.
We will then need imo a GK, RB, CB, LB, CM (possibly Tait), no 10 and ST. I would consider offering Ross a deal but would want to see a lot more from him first.
Good post and agree it will require additional quality.

Our first choice outfield team bar yeats are all singed up for next season so any surprise departures will be accompanied by a wedge of cash but I can't see many changes.
It will be harder next year in the championship but I think we perform better when teams actually try to get into the game and none of the championship teams we've played this season in the cup have been better than us and that includes Dundee utd who are currently top.
I don't expect us to romp to the title obviously but we are good enough as is to do well and with a few additions should be aiming for the playoffs as a minimum against a league full of inconsistent teams.
Regardless of who’s signed or being released, in my view definitely need to add to three key slots - GK CB CF.

I see we've sold over 5000 strips this season which is bloody good going.
Incredible and welcomed income. Interesting to find out where we would be out with the arse cheeks & Edinburgh teams in terms of numbers.

Not for me, he had that honker of a header back to Long last night and I actually felt he was lucky to stay on the park after his tackle on Burrell as it looked high.
Excellent little through ball for the goal but we need better competition in the championship.
It’s obvious with so little game time, there’s a mistake going to happen, as with the header. However thought he played well. On the fence with extending contract as he’s up against mr reliable who’s made LB his own. He can also play LCB which may temp McGlynn to offer some type of deal. Guessing there’s a lot of discussions behind closed doors with potential targets and existing players. At the end of the day I wouldn’t lose too much sleep if he’s released.

Great day/night away and some fantastic hospitality with exiled bairns. Thought we controlled the game with ease, special mention to Mackie, Henderson & Tait. Miller was different class for his twenty odd minutes. Keeper never troubled and Cove look miles away from the team a couple of seasons back. As with many, not that keen on this “rotation thing” but Cove never threatened. Going to be a difficult POTY, with so many candidates, but Henderson & Miller maybe worthy of top billing.

Reading the posts? Far to drunk to enjoy

Meeting up with a few exiled bairns and probably a few aperitifs throughout the day. Difficult game and need to be on it.

Not getting we’ve been rotating all season, the team has picked itself apart from the GKs. Long was injured and Hogarth got the slot. I’m fcked off that Hogarth played his best 90 at Kelty, only to be benched. As said no over reaction just at this critical stage, however we have our manager giving more than a mixed message.

Seething if it’s not Hogarth tbh.
Totally agree.

So who gets the GK slot on Tuesday ?

I think the sticking point for many is that the MCGlynns been hell bent with “rotating” the players, when we didn’t need to. As soon as the team was announced at 2, everyone in our crowd went the same thought, that the team would be slow through the middle with McGinn back in the pack. Albeit we started off with some great early chances, felt we lost our sharpness and by mid second half, they clearly found width and pace that caused us issues. To hear that we have a controversial set up with Long, for me is simply not acceptable, and McGlynn shouldn’t be reporting to another bloody club. Two average keepers but Hogarth must be livid having his best game in the jersey to be dropped to the bench next game.

Talking him out after a motm performance is just laughable. If it pisses off Lincoln city then who cares. Far more important to the club that we get promotion tied up and that the keeper who may be with us next season gets a decent run in the side to try and win a contract as one of our two keepers next season. As someone said giving them a month each is feckin amateur football type stuff.
This……..

John, stick rotating the squad up your arse until we actually get the job done. We’re no Man City or Liverpool and seen this result coming for a few weeks. Yes chances galore but did we really test the keeper?

Watching the Arbroath game, dead and out, but to their credit gave it big. Huge credit/shout to a certain Mark Stowe. Gentle reminder that you need to keep the application and effort regardless of the opposition.

I was thinking about the amount of plastic pitches in the Championship (getting ahead of myself I know) and there aren’t many. It would be good to have the option to train on grass as well as plastic pitches next season and Little Kerse could be used for this. I also heard they are putting in a full sized covered pitch there which could come in handy if the weather was shit for training.
Watched the SPL highlights and the surfaces at Kilmarnock & Livi look horrendous compared to the surface at TFS. Can understand why the SPL are opting for everyone to have grass as a requirement for SPL status.

A bit disappointed with the recent great form and results, the club hasn’t been all over social media and in our faces about the next few games.

Well the land has been cleared for it. Walked past it last week heading to/from the Montrose game!
I can only take it the “Blast Zone” issue has vanished?
Where is this “hub” and facility going to be developed?

Thought accies would have sent reminder that it’s still a long way till season end, but from the reports being posted, the binos perhaps a bit unlucky not to have taken the three points. Still a fourth quarter to play for, and the gap is significant. However I,ll leave it to the cows come home

If Morrison's still injured then
Hogarth
Yeats Donaldson Lang Mccann
Hendo Spencer
Ross Nesbitt Miller
MacIverWhen most thought that McGlynn would only change the line up through injury, he’s had the chance to rotate the squad. Against some opinions on here, I’d keep Tait in for the big man.

I really hope that we are able to go through the entire league campaign undefeated. We could come up with our own version of this:
YEATS
HOGARTH
SPENCER
JOHN MCGLYNN
MILLER
LANG
MCIVER
MORRISON
HENDERSON
McCANN
OLIVER
NESBITT
DONALDSON
AGYEMAN
ROSS
The merchandise would be endless: strips, mugs, posters, t shirts, prints, key fobs, coasters etc.
Should have patented that
