  1. The guys  had a wonderful season and if he keeps up with his great form and goals, let’s not be kidded there’s going to be a great deal of interest come the close season. If it’s straight two year deal, it’s a great bit of business by the club. But let’s not get carried away, it’s football and contracts can be manipulated for the benefits of player club and agent.

Where's the best place to park when it's really busy?

I heard from a reliable source that if you drive to the ground, there’s  a car park just past the entrance to the park, but didn't want to say as I'm sure the source was drinking sherry.

  3. Catching up on the fans (Montrose) thoughts on their recent matches. Looks like their form is at best average, but appear to be stretched with players available. Yes it will be difficult match, but with our current form, and with the proper application and want, should be able to finally tick the box.

Firstly, you're just wrong about the budget and has been confirmed by a board member.

Secondly, I find it funny when fans of other clubs try this nonsense because ANY club in our situation would be the exact same. This is our first promotion in a long time with some of our fans never having seen it for themselves, with an unbeaten run and potential invincible season that (even in league 1) only rangers have managed. We have spent 5 years here after absolute charlatans who utterly destroyed this club dragged us down and kept us here before eventually were rightly kicked out. The fans were the ones that took it back in their own hands and the results of this season can ONLY be attributed to that group effort. This win is far far beyond just winning league one as a big club, it has taken far harder graft than any club who has only just dropped down from the championship with wealthy owners that can bankroll them back up. There is often a lot of crowdwanking on here but it's mainly because there are very few clubs that can claim that even in their worst ever season in history they maintained crowds of over 2000 and have average crowds of 5000 in league one. Our success this season has come from that and only that and the team on the park is the fruits of that dedication. I for one, will remember this season as the season we took it in our hands and turned our club away from imminent death. Not by leaving it to someone else to deal with. The results of the season just reflect all of that and any player on the park will be a legend to me as a result. And any other club who can say all of the above would be just as elated as we are. If you don't see that it's because you've had the privilege of not being in this situation and that is fine for you but don't bother coming on here to try and convince anyone otherwise, it just won't work.

    Great post

I'm probably missing some obvious one but from the top of my head I'd have:

    Crunchie
    Stainrod
    Latapy
    Yogi
    Vaulks

    Cult heroes:
    Moutinho

    Baptie
    Farid
    Mallo
    Parks
    Burgess

    Local Heroes:
    Arfield
    Sibbald

    Honerable mentions:
McGovern, Riera, Taylor, Morrison, Cadette, Samuel, Gow, Stokes, James, Gray, Fulton, Weir, Keith, Marshall, McLaughlin, McQueen, McKenzie

Great post -  for me some notables missing a certain super SAM ?

On the Morrison Legend topic. Do people genuinely think he has been great for his whole time here?

For me he has been amazing this season and was decent enough last year (seen to remember him going off the boil a bit serving half) but before that was pretty average/disappointing, made what felt like the wrong decision constantly. To be honest if he had went end of last year I don’t think I would have been bothered.

Morrisons form across the season has been great, top scorer for now, and a tremendous four goals yesterday. I,ll leave it for the experts on what is a legend, but being quite adrift from being a teen now, there’s quite a few players I would consider in that  status in front of him.

  7. Great day and after a subdued first opening fifteen, albeit against a very open Edinburgh side, we strolled it. Morrison undoubtedly MOM, but thought Donaldson Mackie and Tait were superb. For the purpose of rotating the squad Bisland is not a patch on Yeats, and when replaced we looked so much stronger. So it’s Montrose when we can officially seal the title. If there’s any trains geeks reading this , appreciate train times and return from any local stations.

Tom Lang out for the rest of the reason according to the Falkirk Herald. 😭

Heard a couple of weeks back that the injury could be bad. McGlynn now confirming that’s it’s a tear, in the same knees he had a serious injury with. Good luck Tam, get well and fit for new season.

  9. Great article and said few weeks back that if plastics are not acceptable in the top division, the cartel shuts the door on Scottish football. No coincidence that Killie exchanging to grass in summer, with Livi already doomed. Final piece in the jigsaw is Dundees other half getting the auto slot. As earlier posted 10,000 seats springs to mind.

  10. Guess that the top knobs are clearly pissed off the pathetic pitches at Livi and Killie. We’ve had two grass carpets that look so much better, and different. Never had a manager or anyone complain about either surface. As posted criminal that should we get ourselves in a position of getting into the sacred ten, we’ve got to spend fortunes on grass

As much as it will have a negative effect on our club it does amuse me that Raith may be the victims of yet another crooked Scottish club vote this time on artificial pitches. A bit of justice after their disgusting opportunistic behaviour on the covid vote and the aftermath. Tossers

Said this a few weeks back, and doesn’t take Einstein to work out if RR claim promotion.

Aye like the Annan game a couple of weeks back.

Didnt get a decent look being at game, highlights inconclusive, however looks like he’s jumped early. The guys overall performance was great and arguably his form is up there with Morrison & Miller. Still think McGlynn will strengthen in closing months and I’m sure he’ll add another CF.
