  1. If you thought Rennies interview was bad then McGuffies tops it! Lewis needs to stop with the soft-ball, often rhetorical questions. The post match isn't meant to be the interviewers view parroted back by the interviewee
  2. Tend to agree. Throws up more questions than it answered. "Good conversations happening with players" Does that mean the recruitment strategy we were looking at when we binned Holt has been finalised? Does that mean Rennie and Miller are getting to continue? If not, are we doing a la Holt and signing players that a "head coach" will be asked to work with instead of appointing a manager with overall responsibility. On the game, Wilson and McCann must be close to the exit. Same players honking every week and can't even get on as subs. New lad getting on ahead of you when Griffith's is dung and Kabia's hobbled.
  3. Club expecting trouble after last week's fan "interventions". Metal fencing in-situ in front of the South Stand side of the pitch.
  4. I'd hoped Rennie would have been gone Sunday night but alas he is still in place for today. Only expectation today is Cove to win at a canter and to witness another low this season. If he's still in post come Monday the new BoD are sleeping at the wheel. We should see out of the season without our management team in the dugout if today pans out as predicted.
  5. Good riddance. Not sure I put much stock in the opinions of Paul Dixon to be honest.
  6. On the positive side we've had another good week of training
  7. Watson injured for 9 months. Another space to fill and Mills probably won't be seen again this season. Saturday is going to be horrific.
  8. It does seem that way. A complex business structure where the community teams have more access to the stadium and surrounding infrastructure - I'll also include Comley Park in this - and yet the major reason for any of it's existence is playing second fiddle.
  9. Are we forgetting that we also have a newer pitch immediately adjacent to the old pitch and if the main one is causing untold injuries why aren't we training on the newer one and only using the old one on matchdays?
  10. Maybe we should try sitting in at home then Every team I've seen come to TFS lately - if this is to be believed - look like they've smelt blood from the get-go and have us on the back foot immediately. I'd love to see what parking the bus looked like for them!
  11. I had intended to go along to at least one of them but in hindsight the "pub tour" approach can exclude fans. For instance, I was at the match on Saturday and BtG gives you no excuse for proximity ... except I had my 8yo son with me so then it's a non-starter due to licensing. Same with yesterday evenings event as in my circumstances I was a stones throw away from the Courtyard but he had a regular activity right before so I couldn't attend taking into account the roundtrip to drop him home. Not digging out the FSS / directors as they have tried to be open but something that needs considered. The future of the club is not just in the hands of one particular age group. Our younger fans also have an interest.
  12. Not necessarily. There is an argument that in the circumstances we're in we should be looking for someone who can coach improvement in the existing squad rather than spin the transfer wheel again. I still don't think that our current management are the ones capable of that based on experiences so far. They will need additions, no doubt, but expecting another manager/head coach etc to get a complete new squad and hit the ground running as we know all too well is highly unlikely.
  13. Everything that has gone on since our relegation from the SPL ultimately boils down to the sustainability of the club. All the facade of a professional outfit but behind the scenes corners have been cut and quick fixes applied on the promise of jam tomorrow - reaching the PL. It's been death by a thousand cuts and even in the relative good times those in charge were "streamlining" and implementing futile plans to achieve more with less. I won't rehash what's been said countless times on these pages (much) but fans in the main have played their part and swallowed it but were fast approaching a nadir. The latest BoD can't afford to waste our last competitive advantage and alienating the fans by retaining the management team.
  14. Morrison and McGuffie I think have something to offer IF they had others alongside them doing some proper dirty work! As I said, I'm only retaining Nesbitt most likely because Telfer won't be here next season but I would happily see him go.
  15. Goalkeeper Paddy Martin (Is he injured?) - June 2023 Luke Holt - June 2023 Defenders Blair Sneddon - June 2023 Ryan Williamson - June 2023 Brad Mckay - June 2024 Leon McCann - June 2024 Cammy Williamson - June 2023 Mackenzie Lemon - June 2023 Paul Watson - June 2023 Midfielders Callumn Morrison - June 2024 Steven Hetherington - June 2023 Aidan Nesbitt - June 2023 Craig Mcguffie - June 2023 Seb Ross - June 2023 Ben Weekes - June 2023 Strikers Jaime Wilson - June 2023 Finlay Malcolm - June 2023 Removing those who will probably be moved on and unlikely to play. I'm not even sure I'd keep Nesbitt at this point.
  16. I didn't want to dislike this as I thought it harsh but I don't agree. Like other posters there is nothing I've seen to suggest that he could be a success in that role either. As it goes, it appears the collective decision is to persist with the management team ... for now.
  17. Very valid points. Who does the buck stop with really?
  18. Small mercies. Can this be extended to in-person if Rennie and co remain?
  19. Hope the marketing group have some novel ideas in the pipeline for next season as it's going to be one hell of sell shifting ST. Prices can't be slashed to meet the club's overheads so realistically we'll be asked to pay the same (perhaps even more?) for an inferior product. Rennie gone and you can argue that renewals will stay stable in the *hope* of better but keep him on and folk likely won't renew in fear of more of the same.
  20. The use of the budget he was given and the makeweights that were chosen to allow for his manoeuvring has shown up that a difficult January window was potentially made worse by our failings. Has Mills, AT-S or Watson been miles better than Hall. Allowing Keena to leave and having Ompreon and Wilson as backup (then jettisoning Ompreon and signing a youth and thrusting them into the 1st team) doesn't look like coaching team with a plan.
  21. It's not the FSS fault we are where we are. Would be good if we had a figurehead to all rally round rather than nebulous groups like "BoD" or "FSS".
  22. Reading the FH article it does seem like he's been given a steer that he'll be given time and will be tasked with instituting the changes he sees fit. Unfortunately if that's the case I hope he can do it on a pittance because he won't be getting the cash he's had as the support will drop off a cliff-edge if he's confirmed for next season.
  23. Every other team seems to have no issues with our pitch
