Thought Saturday was a decent card. Was always gonna be hard to follow last weeks in London but I enjoyed it. So good to have crowds back for fight nights. Was impressed with the manner of Blaydes win. Thought he was gonna wrestle for 5 rounds but his striking looked improved. Him vs Gane next would be good. Brown vs Barberena and Kai Kara France vs askarov were fantastic.

What a night. The best fight night I can remember. So many big viral moments. Big Aspinall is the real deal. No one dominates Volkov like that. So fast and excellent grappling. The call out of tuivasa was brilliant as well. A big name with a good ranking who’s not actually that good. Statement performance for Allen which I didn’t see coming. Him vs Kattar would be brilliant. Paddy and Molly aren’t particularly good but can’t deny the entertainment value. Paddy going to avoid topuira like the plague. Mental Craig is one away from a title shot . How many times can he keep pulling guard and getting away with it. Can see someone in top 5 will ko him badly soon.

Masvidal is now on the same level as Diaz, Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor were they are not at the level of the people on top of there weight classes but still big names. Would love to see Rda get one last run at the belt. Legend. Holland and Mitchell both looked good. Hardy getting battered on the last fight on his deal was also pleasing. Hopefully the last we see of him in ufc.

Enjoyable weekend of mma Think Makhachev has done enough to get the next shot at the lightweight title. Absolutely dominant. Arman Tsarukyan is destined for the top. Alvarez is the dark horse of the division and he made it look easy. Brutal elbows. Gegard Mousasi is one of the most underrated fighters ever. Wish he was still in ufc

You would think if the club is in a position to build a new gym, the financial situation has improved to afford it. Fwiw I’m not defending Gardiner, just not convinced he’s the problem at the club

Strange response I didn’t claim to know anything about the club’s finances. However since Gardiner has come in we have managed to build a gym, employe data analysis, employe a dof and knocked back over six figures for Robbie Deas. All that would suggest the club is in a better place financially. Granted I forgot about his comments regarding the streaming service but was curious why people on this thread thought he was the problem.

Why do people not like Scott Gardiner? Seems to have done a decent job getting the club more financially stable.

I wasn’t a fan of the 343 formation the first half. I agree Pearson looked bright but playing him and Chalmers as wing backs meant the outside centre backs had no protection. Also when they did get the ball more often than not the were so deep to impact the game . That been said the move to the midfield diamond was criminal. Needed width to create overloads to get at the Morton wing backs. Instead the width came from Carson and Deas, who are both average at best at progressing the ball forward. This meant aimless long balls which the 3 big Morton centre back ate up.

One of the only positives of the last few weeks is the form of Reece Mcalear. Wasn’t convinced at the start but he’s improving every week.

Agree with this Although he is nothing special don’t think Duffy has been has bad as people make out. Harper hasn’t kicked on as much as I would of hoped

Agree with that but he is undoubtedly a better manager than Dodds, knows the league and most importantly, is already on the clubs payroll. As you said no chance Dodds gets sacked anyway

Not surprised at that. Must be soul destroying seeing Duku play ahead of you. Very concerning post match interview from Dodds.

Maybe a bit knee jerk but not convinced Dodds is the man to take us forward. Performances have been so poor this season even at the start when we were getting results.

No chance Lafferty signs for us. Can Dodds please give McGregor a run in the team as a number 10 please. Sutherland needs a spell out of the team. Understand we lose height from the front line when he’s not there but he’s been poor for the last month. Don’t understand Duku getting game time ahead of Jamieson either. Plenty of effort from him but he’s not up to championship standard

Yep much better from him today, unlucky not to have a hattrick.

Danny Devine deserves more praise this season. Lost count the number off times he’s made a goal saving block or covered for Broadfoot lack of pace. Tom Walsh also looked a bit more like his old self today Apart from that pish again.

This window is giving me January 2020 Vibes, when we sold McCart and Donaldson then replaced them with Lewis Toshney.

Ye I know the gardyne situation and recent injuries to doran/mcGregor haven’t helped but the lack of a plan is worrying. Defensively we look well organised to be fair. The opposite of what I thought we were going to get this season after the cove game in July.

Terrible today. Not convinced Dodds knows how to get the best out of the attack. Just hoping for moments of magic or mistakes from the opposition. Mental we are 2nd and 2 points off top.

Disappointed how it’s worked out for McDonald. Hope he gets a run of games and can kick on. Dan Mackay back on loan?
