  1. Definitely an element of good fortune/wastefulness by Thistle in the 2nd half but we were always going to be under the cosh for spells in the tie.  Some well taken goals by Queens and although I wouldn’t have been gutted if we’d been papped out, I’ll happily take the win!

Seems to be loads of enthusiasm for this one…

It’s a game we really should be winning if we have aspirations at the top end of the table. Can see it being a struggle, though.

Everyone is still trying to come to terms with the sign being updated!

Like you say it is definitely the type of game we need to win especially being at home - we’ve rarely made it easy in the previous games against Annan though.  Had hoped we’d have seen a new signing or 2 in time for this but doesn’t look likely now.

Good to hear @Frankie S that Walker's been outstanding and that we're dominating.  However, as you say, we are diminutive up front - a few of us made this comment as the squad was being assembled.  Dare I say it ... our good friend @Greenacres may well have had a point here in terms of someone with a bit more physique in the middle up front to give defences something to think about ... Connelly, McKechnie and to a lesser extent Reilly ain't winning many headers.  I'm not advocating Route 1 fitba but we need to give defenders something to think about when the crosses come in.

Greenacres 100% has a point about having a physical presence up top but it’s mocked as nonsense because it’s Greenacres!

Aye I clocked that on Saturday too.

First time I've heard the new guy. Has he toned his act down? Not heard it previously but saw some criticism on here.

Definitely toned it down a bit.  Still needs to cut out the crappy goal music though!

Which two is he better than? McKay? possibly, Brydon? don't think so, McClelland?  raw and rash at times but has done ok, Ambrose? calm and experienced at the back, might get caught out for pace occasionally. East is good at carrying the ball out from the back but he has his flaws also. I wouldn't tear up my season ticket if he came back but I wouldn't be chasing him to return either.

I’d say he’s better than McKay and McClelland who fills me with fear.
