That was such an easy win. McGlynn was right to put the subs on second half even though scoring a hatfull might be useful later in the season but what it confirmed to me was that Allan is not for the current structure and we might as well let him do out on loan or even transfered - clearly he is a player but not one up front. Noone is going to be surprised at that.
I also thought that if Morrison is away, he didn't milk it going off if that was his last ever game for us?

The latest Terrace podcast looks back at the 1999-2000 season and there is a reasonable section about how we got screwed over during league reconstruction to save Aberdeen. Twenty-three years later it still rankles.

I'm pretty sure that we will replace Morrison with someone good if this is happening (which I think it is). No club can keep a player who wants much more money and he deserves a chance at England. And after yesterday your bubble is looking very flat if not burst.

FROM THE HAMILTON P&B THREAD. They claim this was announced at their AGM last week to cheers - probably true but they are now a lot quieter given yesterday's results. Personally I don't thinnk you can keep a player who wants to go get much more money - I just hope the Board have played hard ball.

Ok, here’s the scoop. Our DOF, who by the way I despise, claimed at the forum that he last week approached Morrison with a view to signing him(stifle your laughter for a moment and humour me please) He was told, thanks but no thanks as he was signing a pre contract with a team down south in January. Falkirk are looking to get some sort of cash for him in January as they have players they want in which will allow him to leave then rather than at the end of the season.

Aye, was looking at the championship and that's a lot of easy access away days, for sure! Credit to all the fans that go to places like Cove and Dumfries btw, not knocking it. I just can't see myself realistically doing that.
I go every week no matter where being the sad loner I am. There's always a lift from Edinburgh available for folk if you can put up with the smell of wet dog.

Edinburgh FC in dire trouble and this signing shows it. Their fans on their forum think he is a great signing for us (but say "he needs to screw the nut" whatever that means). Allan must be off on loan I think as this signing will be in front of him on the bench I bet. I wish Jordan well - it's really unfortunate he was brought into a side that plays one up front. His one major contribution was up at Cove getting the last minute equaliser and there is no surprise it was him and McIver at the end playing two up front. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to a lower Championship club like Arbroath.

Yep, Shanley is a decent signing for Falkirk. Definitely capable of playing at a higher level but has been inconsistent albeit in a poor team these last 11 months. It'll be interesting to see if he can hold down a starting position.
I think he is cover for Ross McIver who is utilised playing up front alone. We signed (paid money for) Jordan Allan but he can't play in McGlynn's one up front system due to size so we've wasted his skills. Most supporters expect him to go on loan somewhere (a shame but he deserves better than 10 minutes at the end of every game). So Shanley was swooped up to give us another strong front man. In a better team than Edinburgh I suspect he will shine.
I wish Edinburgh FC well - it's clearly hard times but get to f**k out of Meadowbank, moving there was a huge mistake.

Maybe it's the fact Hartley is generally a grim reaper when it comes to young players and their career or possibly it's a business decision by AFC to try and avoid helping us be successful and attract the casual fan / fickle Dons who still think they are in the 80's!
Hartley was hated by the staff and volunteers at Falkirk - he was arrogant and unfriendly to most and his decimation of our club meant the support now hates him too more than any other manager. I always wonder why he signs so many players and churns them - it might be he falls out with them but my suspicion is more along the lines of dodginess. Oh how I wish I could prove the latter - no agent or player is going to spill the beans though.

Lower league review on the latest Terrace podcast took up this story. Craig telfer who usually hates us taking our side too.

Made 17 shite summer signings which ultimately played a massive part in them being relegated to the national league? Managed 4 points from the first 11 games before being punted.
It's almost as if he did it on purpose, coming back up the road with a tidy pay off in time for christmas. Knowing fine well daddy Cove would bring him back in for a second suckle of the bosoms soon enough.
I've always been suspicious of Hartley and why he churns players like he does. I am not going to write down what I exactly think but most clubs let managers too much freedom in negotiation and that leaves thngs open to abuse.

Basically grassing the parking guy up too by posting it online. Really poor
That's what I thought too - I did think twice before posting it but I doubt anyone who is involved in the stewarding will see it.

Here's a pub quiz question - what is the second most viewed online football match behind the 1966 cup final? No googling.

Re: Lang - he makes a fantastic tackle on an Arab attack, passes to Miller who buys a free kick, Morrison hits a close goal and who pops up like a magician's rabbit on speed but Tam Lang. Magnificent and what a signing.
I presume we all want TNS to win so we can have an "European" trip to Wales?

I think he has been consistent and our best player every season since he’s been here. Does have games where his end ball isn’t great but wouldn’t be with us if he was the finished article. He just seems to be one of these players that more focus on his bad games than good. Felt the same for Aidan Connolly when he was with us.
Morrison now has 44 goals in 115 appearances with 21 assists. Doesn’t matter the level we’re at, that’s outstanding stats for a winger, even when you exclude the penalties he’s scored. His workrate is tremendous too. Will be a huge loss if we can’t get him on an extended contract.
I'd not be surprised if Goodwin came knocking in january.

Jordan Allan and Ola Lawal coming on with 10 seconds to go seems a weird thing to do.
only thing I can think of is that the two of them would get appearance/win bonuses for coming on. If so, McGlynn doing them a favour
PS what a team x
Wasting time aka "game management".
Fantastic performance - second half best of season and no coincidence against a team that also tried to attack. Only area of debate now is goalkeeper with both making errors recently, I think I prefer Long as he releases the ball quicker but I'd not be too upset. I feel for Jordan Allan but as we know he's not the person to be one up front. Well done all - let's keep it going til we win the league without any defeat.

Bring back the old Falkirk TV guys. Keep the new commentator though.

I was convinced Morrison was going to be leaving us but the way he left the field after the last game has made we wonder - surely he would have made more of a fuss if that was his last appearance for us? I guess it is wait and see. If he does go then let's hope it is for good money - we cannot begrudge him a chance elsewhere.
