  1. Worth listening to what Davie is saying about the young boy Ledingham in his post match. Around the 4:20 mark
  2. Perhaps it is one of those Saudi companies that have only existed for a fortnight and have signed us up in a 25m per year deal.
  3. Just about to post the same thing. Can't find anything on them. Closest I got was https://www.empteezy.co.uk/ who are based in Houston Industrial Estate.
  4. I'd say it would be anything between 300-400k we are looking at for Anderson. May see Premiership football as a stepping stone to a move down South so perhaps not completely impossible to get a move sorted. Not many others that are in the SPFL that I would bother looking at.
  5. Would the boy from Ayr, Akenyemi, become a reasonable option if we cash in on Anderson? Would imagine they would be looking for similar money as to what we would be getting from the Georgian team. Devastated if we lose him.
  6. Absolute mystery then. Thought he was a CAM type player from the minutes I’ve seen of him.
  7. Thought he played more centrally from the cameo in the QPR game. Definitely midfield we can agree on that.
  8. Add on to the rumour mill - the guy I sit next to at work was golfing with someone from Berwick who has connections in the board. He had mentioned to him that things coming to a head. Seem to suggest it will be a difficult year and there may be some turmoil. In all honesty the guy at work couldn't remember any of the details other than it wasn't looking great. Seems like Berwick is the epicentre of the Livi board room drama.
  9. From Dave's interview. Season ticket sales up 17.5% from this time last year. 7% of total sales this year have been new fans. Last season we added 220-230 new ST holders (no mention of how many didn't renew)
  10. Resign and retire are two different things. See how you’ve framed your information about Ward. It’s speculative but not over the top you’ve just stated you have a reliable source that he is leaving. You aren’t throwing accusations of criminal court hearings around. ‘It’s not the talk of the town’. If you have info I am always willing to hear it but there is a way to present info without ridicule. Also, going on a tirade about the running of other aspects of the club as a result of nobody believing you is also not going to win over people.
  11. It is bizarre that it descends into that. I watched the games we played during the winter break online and we played some really brilliant stuff. All on the ground and rarely in the air. I thought, if this is how we are going to play the second half of the season we will be in Europe easily. But it didn't materialise once the 2nd half started.
  12. You’ve legitimate concerns about finances and running of the club, fine. But the way to engage fans in those conversations isnae ‘Rumour mill around Berwick is such-an-such’. Or I’ve heard fae my uncles, neighbour’s cousin that John Ward is considering leaving, is it? But let’s actually look at some of your concerns. The club have been making a loss for many years. Martindale has come out and explained that VAR took a big dent out of the budget. We’ve set up a youth academy, a women’s team, done substantial work on the stadium all the while bringing in a higher quality of player in the past 5 years. Our four main revenue streams are fans (increased YoY attendance figures and increase ST holders). Prize money (disappointing this year with 8th all things considered and potential for a Hampden cup appearance squandered). Player sales (Dykes and not much else - but realistically only a handful of clubs get players sales). Commercial deals (TV revenue has increased although still disappointing and can’t speak much on commercial deals but we seem to have a lot more partners that 5 years ago) The area they can have more control over, the fans has seen far more engagement in the community, free tickets, greater social media presence all of which will pay off in the long run as long as we maintain top flight football. This can be seen in the ST sales from last year and increased attendances. It won’t change overnight. Can I ask where you think the club are pissing away money and what you think they should do differently?
  13. I think that Agent Scotland guy on Twitter had some data on it and it was 15% increase. One of the largest in the division if I recall correct.
  14. Something appearing to happen is neither official or fact, Mr all-seeing-all-knowing-livi-c-suite-overlord. Post some credible sources or stfu. We want to chat about wildly speculative summer transfers and not what you've heard from your non-existent sources.
  15. Was he not on a loan with mandatory future fee to Hartlepool. I am sure he is no longer our player. Interesting that Schwake is down as a departing player. I imagine we have offered him a contract so it would mean he could not move without a development fee. Perhaps the Brighton deal has moved forward further.
  16. https://twitter.com/LiviFCOfficial/status/1663109180398489600?s=20 Livingston FC can confirm that the following players will depart the club following the completion of the 2022/23 season and the expiry of their contracts. Nicky Devlin Jackson Longridge Jack Fitzwater Stephane Omeonga Brian Schwake Jaze Kabia Men’s first-team Manager David Martindale said: “It goes without saying that I offer my thanks and very best wishes to those players moving on this Summer. “I’ve spoken to other players still under contract with the club and explained that some won’t be in my plans next season and that they are free to speak with other clubs if the opportunity arises.”
  17. See James McArthur is leaving Palace another name to be floated on the Facebook Forum in the coming hours no doubt. That place is full of complete nutters.
  18. Hearts or Hibs will nab Arfield. I could see him having a good relationship with Davie off the field but I don't think it would be enough. He is due another couple of years of higher pay before taking on a coaching role with us.
  19. Aye ignore me. Thought it was Nouble being mentioned about a transfer. On review, it’s Devlin who most certainly is not English
  20. I’d say the chances of him staying in Scotland are virtually null. Non-OF clubs will be priced out quickly if a few clubs begin chasing him down south and he is English so no connection to Scotland in any way. In other news, thought folk may enjoy our stadium expansion announced in 2030.
  21. “Hope, in reality, is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man” A quote for the weekend ahead
  22. Bradley getting a run out here suggest the Penrice experiment may be kept for another week.
  23. Lets factor in the fact that Martindale also puts in the hours doing work that is so far removed from his managerial role that no manager taking over would be willing to do. Although I am sure Dick Campbell is dab hand with a paint brush anaw. I left the FB group long ago - seem to recall someone claiming Liam Kelly was past it because Donnerumma was already a starter at AC, at 16, and Kelly, 20 at the time, had struggled to break through at Rangers - and that was the final straw for me. Realistically, when Davie goes we are in for a tough time regardless of who replaces him.
  24. I think one thing that Livingston have over other clubs is the atmosphere in the club always seems to be happy and jovial which I think can't be undervalued. We have always been the lowest budget side since our promotion. We have seen that clubs with bigger fan bases recently that start slow or get bogged down will lead to relegation, regardless of budget. Hibs, Dundee Utd, Hearts, Kilmarnock have all suffered in recent years from this. If we get seven-figures in for Nouble, then hopefully we can bolster our wage budget slightly. Plus we have a youth academy now so we could potentially see some of those boys supplementing the back-up roles on fairly cheap wages in comparison to some in the squad. Realistically, Davie is an astute manager and business man and is sensible where he makes decisions. There is a strong working relationship with the board and he knows that slow and steady will keep this club ion the Premiership and improve income over time.
  25. Cancar needs a loan to see if he really can make an impact at Livi in the years to come. Wouldn't be a great loss with the other two. I do think Ivan could have been our number 1 had circumstances been different - think he is a solid goalkeeper who we panicked after a couple of shaky early performances. (not that I am complaining about the George signing as he is better by some distance)
