If we go down we're in a pretty bad way, our list of players under contract is grim.

I appreciate I'm not a Raith Rovers fan so I won't hold him in as high a regard, but I'm not at all sure that McGlynn will be a success at Falkirk,  for whatever reason he's not done well anywhere apart from Raith, he just seemed to fit at Starks Park.

Paul Hartley seems a decent enough manager and he had a nightmare at Falkirk, Ray MacKinnon done well enough at Raith and then shocking at Falkirk.

I get the feeling that Falkirk, much like Dunfermline really are a shambles in allot of senses. If McGlynn doesn't hit the ground running the fans won't take long to turn, the prospect of a fifth season at league one will make the fans very jumpy.

For many reasons, I hope it goes absolutely fucking terribly.

Don’t mind McGlynn leaving,he took as as far as he was going to and his team selections and formations were rubbish for months, probably lucky not to have been sacked

of our players this season, I can only see bene joining him which again I’m fine with.

falkirk are a big club with a good fan base so an attractive job but are a mess and he will have his job cut out getting them out of league one, play offs at best next season I think

end of an era at Starks but with the right people brought in it’s a bright new dawn lol

Apparently Brad Spencer is going there as well

Hearing a rumour that Smith was offered the job but turned it down to remain an assistant. If correct then any rumour of McPake is a load of nonsense as club clearly have no plan in place. If also correct then it makes our "Chief Executive's" position untenable in my opinion. That's no longer any conflict on interest but how can we believe that she had no idea he husband was negotiating a new job with another club behind her back.

Also heard a small rumour that Benedictus and Spencer have agreed to join Falkirk and that are trying to agree a deal with Tumilty.

The discussion of McGlynn or no McGlynn is no longer an issue or relevant. The fact that he's gone and we might now lose our captain, right back and main central midfielder at the same time is an absolute disgrace and nobody on that board should remain in place.

HR expert on the board! Don't make me laugh.

I’ve heard Tumilty has offers from championship and lower half premiership with both Livi and St Mirren both said to be interested

I am not remotely in the know so this could be complete nonsense but I was told Falkirk did actually ask the Rovers for permission (which was granted) before they spoke to McGlynn last week because he is technically still under contract until the end of May. Not heard anything suggesting there has been any poor conduct in the approach of Falkirk.

The Rovers fans are angry at our own board for getting to the last game of the season before deciding what to do with our manager, I’ve not seen any anger directed to Falkirk or their board. I don’t think McGlynn could have had any complaints if he was let go after the disastrous second half of the season but the board couldn’t seem to decide either way.

We are now left in the impossible position of either losing a popular manager to a team in the league below or trying to match Falkirk’s offer by handing a long contract and large wage increase to someone who has won 3 of their last 19 league games and hasn’t won a home game since December.

I also heard Falkirk asked the club for permission to speak to him as he is contracted till end of may/beginning of June and that the rovers does have intentions to keep him but we’re waiting till the season finished to enter further talks, for like budgets, contract renewals etc it will be interesting to see what happens

It would all be dependant on what McGlynns reasons are for leaving a club hes supposed to love, I have my own private theory on that, but I guess we'll never get to know what his reasons were

So is he definitely off then? As previously stated I’ve spoke to a few people thats saying he’s tempted to stay after the talks with the club

Fully expect Smudger to step up with Berra as his No 2, after all his Mrs will still be the CEO , unless Sim makes that position redundant

Wouldn’t smudger not go with him as he’s mostly been McGlynns No2, there’s people I’ve seen who knew about DG before others have said he’s going to stay at the club assured him stuff that he want
