Rab Douglas said in the paper he would be a good fit for us so he probably has been interviewed, not sure if I would be happy with that tbh Bit of the Gary Locke about him
Rab Douglas has been known to talk pish so probably is that a load of pish

I hope you Take 1 of the rumoured names of Ross, Adam or O’Dea and leave us to Appoint KT because I don’t want like a Liam Fox to be appointed to us cheers

We've only just started shortlisting, so there'll probably be at least a week before we focus in on anyone. I'd say KT will be a clear candidate as it would make sense considering if the club insists on giving Gordon Strachan an increased role, but everything is little more than rumours. Aside from Gavin Strachan, which has been total rubbish from the start caused by one troll on the Dundee forum.
I think the KT thing is one of those where papers/journos go, there’s a job available let’s link him to it, like they do with Hughes, but now they’re doing it with KT like you say just rumours at this stage

Hoping Dundee take from the frontrunners Ross, Charlie Adam or Darren O’Dea.
because if they get KT then we’re in for a tough ride because we will get someone like McPake or Fox both let’s be real ain’t good enough as proven.
As stated this could be worrying times for supporters

But they gave applicants nearly 2 weeks to apply, most will have applied in the first week so I think they should be a bit down the road to this appointment tbh and a couple of teams looking for managers so we need to get the finger oot imo
Also I’ve seen that Dundee are interested in Thomson (could be the usual paper talk pish) that could be the main target we lose out on

Another Day and still no incline of who it’s going to be, and as the days go on the more I fear it’s going to be some absolute dud that’s going to take us backwards

I remember Benedictus at Dundee. Absolutely the type of centre back that Lee Miller would eat for a mid morning snack, but I doubt that there will be any Lee Millers in L1 next season.
I would have thought that in RR, he had found his happy place to see out his career.
I think it’s time for Benedictus to move on if I’m being honest, and I think League 1 is now his level he was pretty poor for us last season. Would I be against him staying as a backup? (No) and Not really bothered if he left either

“Christophe Berra was always our first choice.”
“Liam Fox was the standout candidate and as former player he knows the club and the fans, coaching experience at Dundee United, we felt he could take us forward” that will be part of the statement

There was a Courier journo saying he thought Thomson would get it.
Ross is never going to go there and work under Strachan but Thomson, who played for him, might well do.
You could be right about the courier journo, but I was just saying that I saw the 2 names linked was Ross and Strachans son and not seen the KT links

James Mcpake , Ray McKinnon both available , just saying would rather have them than fox tbh
Also it’s been noted Ellis has applied I’d rather him than fox tbh

Thomson is being linked with Dundee.
There's been nothing said about McKinnon other than him unsurprisingly talking himself up. I doubt he is someone we'll have interviewed.
Thomson being linked with Dundee is just a bookies thing most likely, because the 2 major links I’ve seen is Jack Ross and Gavin Strachan (if true by papers/journos)

If Thomson and Murray have other offers, Fox is the only other solid link to the post that we know of.
I doubt we would’ve even looked at Murray because he was still in a play off, and Thomson the only other link I’ve seen was Hartlepool but they’re apparently getting the Halifax boss

There was an Airdrie fan saying the Pars had Murray lined up.
Liam Fox to Rovers is looking more and more likely
Nah youre surely at the wind up about Fox?

Now that playoffs are finished our league next season looks a right cracker of a league , hope the KT situation gets sorted asap as can’t be going into that league unprepared
would take a mid table finish right now if offered , lot of teams wanting to be challenging to get into the championship next season think we will be well short with squad we have
We are also waiting on the KT situation, is he staying at Kelty? Coming to us or going somewhere else? If we wait any longer we might lose him and fall further behind for preparation

Pars will surely go for Petrie now?Depends if he wants to go full time, apparently he’s on good money working at the bank, unless pars pay double on what he’s making at the bank

I could see the pars going for Murray if they punt Hughes

Any news on RR players coming over the water with JM ?
Just Rumours apparently it’s Kyle benedictus but I think he’ll wait until we appoint a new boss and see where that goes, Spencer has been linked with you, but he supposedly has offers from a few Championship sides that’s all I’ve seen really

I really don't want Thomson. All he talks about and tweets is Rangers.
I totally get why people don’t want Thomson, the rangers stuff, the Kelty budget and his managerial ability, if he’s appointed we need to give him a chance and see what he’s really made off

Strong rumours that Morton are soon to be looking for a manager as well so yet more competition likely in that market.
If there was ever any doubt as to whether we had any sort of plan in place should McGlynn leave, its now clear that we didn't.
I’m getting that feeling too that the board just assumed McGlynn would sign whatever was put in front of him then when he left they kinda panicked.
i still think their heart is set on Thomson but if they don’t get the finger out they might lose him as well.

Connelly hardly kicked a ball for us, signed with RR and hardly missed a game ? Thoughts ?
He’s was very good for us last season one of our most consistent players, I wasn’t overly keen when he signed because of his injury record at yous, but aye he kept fit and played well, missed 2 games max through injury

Would expect to hear something this week surely? No point dragging this out any longer
It has to, because we’ve still got players out of contract to sort, teams are already signing players and the longer we drag this on the further we fall behind the rest, if we don’t hear by Thursday/Friday the least al start to worry

Don’t think he could beat our players this season for the same position.
Don’t get me started with “players not good enough “that’s why we’re still down here. We've had a plague of midgets for the past two seasons, hoping JM will completely change the way the club has recruited, an embarrassing array of utter shite.
He likes a physical striker, like a Gozie Ugwu, Varian etc but we never really had height in midfield just good ball players for his “silky soccer” and he likes to play wingers on opposite wings to cut inside

Be good to get a piece of decent (excitement may be to much to ask) news on the signing front. However if it’s a case of getting the right players over the line, or some of the signed shite currently with us binned, I’m good with waiting……..
Normally McGlynn likes to get his business done early and get in preseason 2 weeks or so early as well, but he always said when he was with us, he wants the right players in to fit his style of play etc rather than signing a load of players and not be good enough, also he likes to go with small squads as well I don’t know how the injury record is at Falkirk, but over the years has been horrendous and he kept on signing player after player where he basically had too much for the same position type then.. this is how he done with us it might be different for yous

Yep, and I read in the Daily Record that kettlewell is apparently getting interviewed soon, Alan Temple mentioned Thomson and Fox got interviewed, I think the 3rd person could’ve been Ellis as he applied
