  1. You’re completely right on the fitness point, but I do think - and am sure they will be - that the club need to look at why we pick up so many muscle injuries compared to other clubs. We can’t be that unlucky surely?
  2. Yeah I think the jambos will hang on to the Perth young team liquid football for at least 60 minutes
  3. Does anyone really think we’ll see McClelland and Dare starting today? Neither of them can have had a pre-season so cant be fit? I’m all for chucking them in if fit but if they are not some fans haven’t exactly been sympathetic towards players lately hanging them out to dry doesnt seem like the best idea
  4. Awesome! Macca really sticking to his word on signing policy. Impressed.
  5. Don’t see much wrong with the interview tbh! He’s not going to rant and rave or get over excited in a press interview ffs
  6. Lovely guy. Honkin footballer. must have a great agent. good luck!
  7. I have often wondered if they are over-trained with all the muscle injuries we seem to pick up? Are they being pushed too hard or not hard enough? Quite often over the last few years we get to 60/65 minutes and look absolutely done. Is that down to the workload during the week?
  8. You probably have to chuck McClelland in to the defence on Saturday I guess? Alongside Considine? It’s a huge gamble but what else can we do? I feel a bit sorry for Gordy - I wasn’t at the game on Sat but he’s such a passionate guy for Saints and has just not taken the pressure if the captains armband well which seems to have ruined his game and confidence. I’ll probably get pelters for this but I would give the armband to either Considine or McGowan just now as I dont see any other options, let Gordy get on with playing and finding some confidence again
  9. NI international (capped young) and former Chelsea development squad captain. 30 games in English league 2 last season. Sounds promising and a decent gamble on a young player imo. 6ft 3 as well
  10. I would take him back tbh. He suits the system being played better now rather than the way he was used by davidson under his second spell. I very much doubt we could offer him what he would want anyway but for the right money he could be an asset. i don’t think there is any doubting he has ability
  11. Was there not a comment at the last forum (before last night) that Sinclair was the only one who had been offered a new contract until our top flight status was confirmed. That’s a good 3 months or so ago now, so maybe this is planning for the future as Ross has either indicated he’s not going to sugn another contract, or dragged his feet too long? just speculating mind
  12. Surely not coming in to be a benchwarmer though - macca wasn’t messing about when he saud he wants 2 number 1 keepers
  13. If we got 4 Milchell’s/montgomerys I would agree - get our young lads on loan to a good level and ready for next season. If we get 4 dendonker’s maybe not so much
  14. This is where I am with it too. Would be a solif back up option. “Brushes…nah, hit em as hard as you can” -John Bonham
  15. Tbf with a run of games I think he will be a solid defensive midfielder. Just dont expect fireworks
  16. Never got much of a chance with us. Always thought he looked a wee bit immobile but maybe its just the way he moves around the pitch. loves an injury so there is that
  17. We’ll surely want an away fixture first to give the pitch an extra week?
  18. I think you would have a good shout with Ferguson and that would suit both clubs. A loan to championship would be ideal for his development. Max will play for our first team this season I’m sure.
  19. He’s from Perth though isn’t he? Not sure if he grew up a Saints fan but with his family here that has to be attractive? tbh since he can play LCB and LB and is a great age I would be chucking money at him and offering him security of a 3 year deal Solves 2 problems in the squad imo.
