  1. After all the hard work to bring down the age if the squad I’ll be raging if we sign a bunch of geriatrics. Would happily accept 1 or 2 experienced heads (Conway worked out well and served a good purpose imo) but any more would be such a regressive step. In fairness, if they see Sinclair as a potential no 1 in a years time I would be happy if one of the experienced ones was a GK signed for a year.
  2. That would be a real shame if that’s how it pans out. I’m sure he was in league 1 TOTS this season though? was hoping we might get some comments from Montrose fans as they will have seen plenty to know whether he could step up
  3. Yeah that’s what made me think about it, although I thought he signed a 2 year extension earlier in the season?
  4. I’m really hoping Cammy Ballantyne can come back this season and contribute. Feels like it needs to be this season if it’s going to happen for him at this level, and been getting raved about in league 1. Hasn’t looked out of place in his brief appearances with Saints too.
  5. Yeah Callum needs to learn to stop publicly criticizing players, it’s counter-productive and beginning to annoy me. Words of encouragement for yhe younger players in particular makes far more sense, particularly for someone who is in this situation and maybe lost a bit of love for the game. Deal with any issues around workrate etc behind closed doors.
  6. I think that’s fair (although he probably wouldnt be at Saints if that was the case ). His game intelligence is incredible and he loves a wee niggle and dig too. Had he stayed fit I would have offered him a year pay as you play type deal as I think he could still offer something at this level. Will be some player for Stenny if fit, will absolutely boss that league.
  7. I’m really pleased for Cammy Mac getting a goal last night. He’s taken some stick but a lot of it has been ott and unjustified imo. He’s been hampered somewhat by a throwaway comment from the manager saying he can replace Mccann - he clearly can’t and is a different kind of player. that pressure placed on him hasn’t helped, but he covered every blade of grass last night and managed his game really well after an early booking. He’s prone to stray passes but has also shown moments of quality. He’s also been really unlucky with injuries this season. There is a decent player there if we can get consistency from him. He was clearly buzzing after he scored and it kinda looked like a weight lifted off him. I hope he can kick on next year - does not deserve some of the stick that has come his way.
  8. I know things are grim in paisley but you don’t shit on football pitches up here. Also, what’s with the diet if you’re shitting that much, see a doctor ffs!
  9. Too many shat it today. I have the genuine fear in a play off. An up for it Thistle, Inverness or Arbroath will roll us over.
  10. Aye totally this. I work with a motherwell ST holder and their particular brand of shiteball is not going down well there, and his take was also that the standard if the league this year is honking, the worst it’s been for a long time. So its not just us seeing awful football this season, out with the OF and hearts (and maybe ross county who are at least getting some entertainment from Charles-cook and hungbo) the rest of the league is just awful. which does make it all the more galling that we didn’t invest i the squad in the summer as Europe feels like it would have been achievable.
  11. Completely agree with this and I think the maturity point is really important. Saturday was a prime example where he was booked early and a couple of years ago I would have had the fear of him getting sent off but he’s showing the maturity to get himself through games in that situation now. he’s always going to play on the edge and pick up bookings and red cards but I see a real maturity and discipline in his game now that wasn’t there before.
  12. I think that’s valid, it looks like a feckin swamp at times!
  13. I think as a one-off it would be cool to see us reciprocate the initiative with Hibs next season. One game a season at a fiver - see if it might draw a few extra folk to come back for the following games too. If we can stay up of course!
  14. I expect we’ll line up same as Saturday but with Zander back for El Paz. A bit of consistency of selection at last. Booth for Gallacher might be the other change but I think we’re more likely to see Booth back for the rangers game where we’ll look to be more defensive. massive game for both clubs - County win and it will be very difficult for us to catch them. We win and it’s game on to potentially avoid the play off, which seemed unthinkable only a few weeks ago. coys!!
  15. Yup, would be great to see her on the pitch parading her medal pre-match. Club need to invite her along as a special guest.
  16. What a fantastic, battling 3 points. I really think Crawford deserves a special mention - his turnaround in performances is class and you can see he’s benefiting from a run of games. He’s never going to do all of the defensive donkeywork but his overall workrate has been brilliant recently and his game intelligence to find spaces to create and score is first class. Not everyone is going to like every player but I think some humble pie is needed. Every chance he ends up top scorer this season. brilliant to a man today and onwards to next week. Absolutely class atmosphere!
  17. Yeah I think that’s a fair assessment. I mean Booth might be fine but if not I dont see 2 WB changes
