  1. That's what we're thinking. Hence chopping up old furniture over the past few days, which were about to go to the dump.
  2. Don't remember anyone saying we were going to be overrun with Romanians.
  3. The truth is, solar just isn't cost effective and cannot be relied on. You're never going to generate significant amounts in this country with it.
  4. Not once has he subscribed to positions which actively fight to deprive others of rights. You've got him all wrong.
  5. If you want to counter my points then feel free, but I don’t be drawn into name calling.
  6. You reckon? The Tories will have all sorts of levers and stunts to pull to attract large chunks of voters back. Truss is similar to Johnson in that she is a career politician without a firm ideology. She doesn’t have principles to compromise, meaning it’s easy for her to adapt to whatever wins her votes. Plus Labour still aren’t credible challengers, and the wheels are coming off the SNP bus up here too.
  7. 1- Fair enough. Thinking about it, you’re right and I’ve now edited my post. 2- In January 2013, David Cameron committed the Conservative Party to a referendum before the end of 2017 on UK membership of the EU if they won the 2015 UK general election.[250] 3- That followers of Celtic often support partition.
  8. Casual misogyny? C’mon. The looks of female Unionist politicians and Orangewomen are regularly criticised and mocked on here. Is there not an entire thread dedicated to laughing at the looks of females in nightclubs too? I also believe your claim about the No side and the looming EU referendum to be false. The Nhats thing was light-hearted banter, the same way Unionism is constantly linked with Rangers on here. Implying that I’m referring to Catholics is far fetched. Thanks for your post though mate, and I’m glad you aren’t name calling.
  9. Life’s good mate, but on the sleep front the answer is naw
  10. Just a reminder to all, that I won't be drawn into childish name-calling. It gets us nowhere.
  11. It was still looming min. The 'EU issue' was discussed in the partition debates, and a referendum was on it's way.
  12. Purkiss comes across even more mental than usual here. 'Northern powerhouse' - did I just hear that?! She's aff her nut. She also espouses the infamous, straw clutching 'broken promise' lie, where we were supposedly promised that a No vote would ensure EU membership forever. Despite the EU referendum looming at the time of the 2014 campaign on partition, the Nhats have unsuccessfully tried to promote a narrative that voting to leave the EU in 2016 is somehow a broken promise. All that happened was that we were told Scottish Independence would drag us out the EU, which it would have, and that a No vote would keep us in, which it did. A referendum was always on the horizon though. Never once was a guarantee made that we'd never leave the EU with a No vote. This is just your usual grudge and grievance driven, separatist clap-trap. Emma Webb is measured, sensible and classy as always.
  13. Cheers mate. She's a lot easier to handle than her big brother was at that stage!
  14. Spot on. A good faith discussion is out of the question with most. Then you have roasters jumping on your historical posts through the night to downvote them - bizarre behaviour. When your wife has just given birth, it makes you realise that engaging with these people is a waste of time. No doubt I'll be hooked back in at some point though!
  15. I agree that the mainstream parties mainly serve business interests. This applies to the Tories, Labour, SNP and Lib Dems. I don’t agree that all the parties have swung to the right though. In a general, high-level sense, the right have lost so much ground in my lifetime.
  16. Absolutely. Why on earth would I be annoyed at such a word? I don’t have a near heart attack over ‘slurs’ or get all entitled when offended. I’m not left wing FFS. Sticks and stones.
  17. Many thanks Lichty, but I don’t mind admitting when I make a mistake. Being humble is a virtue, and I shan’t be responding meaningfully to your nasty insult. Hope you’re well.
  18. Having gone through the posts, it appears you're correct Lichty. I thought I'd addressed the H word directly, but it appears I have not. Maybe I edited it out of my final draft. My humble apologies. I will address it now though. I do not care if someone calls me the H word. It bothers me not a jot.
  19. I did indeed, Lichty. I'll let you read the post in question to see for yourself.
