If you mean a Holyrood majority, then you’re right. There’s an independence majority, voted for by the Scottish electorate. Holyrood doesn’t have the right to decide a referendum though, especially when the issue was settled in 2014. Obviously you dispute that it was settled, but I disagree for a whole host of reasons.

As I’ve always said, I only have one alias on here. My honest opinion is that you don’t truly believe I am any of those names either, which is why I refuse to be drawn in when you go on about it. I think you just like a wind up, which is fair enough I suppose.

No arguments from me on that one. Mocking someone for or even saying it was good that they can’t have children is low as hell.

That’s certainly not my take. Scots are every bit as British as the other parts of the country, and I’m proud of all languages that have been spoken by my ancestors. The different identities within Britain help make it special. My mum used to tell me that her mum and aunt would speak in Gaelic around her when it was something she wasn’t meant to hear, and I feel slightly sad that the language hasn’t been passed on through the generations the way it could have been. I still don’t see it as a universal language of Scotland though, as it has never been widespread.

Aye, I don’t agree with what he says about it being anti-English either. The trend of constantly labelling things anti-this or that, a phobia or an ‘ist’ is largely disingenuous IMO. Also, as you rightly say, the Tories won’t be defeating the SNP. Certainly not in our lifetimes anyway. I don’t think Frost was entirely culpable when it came to the Brexit settlement. Having obsessed over the NI protocol (I know), the impression I get is that he was boxed into a corner due to May’s previous actions, with many decisions also having been made by Gove. The only thing that will be all over, imminently, is the ongoing separatist nightmare. The 2023 referendum won't go ahead, Nippy will quit, and the SNP will be left with Angus Fibertson, who has all the appeal of a dead badger. Once the party faithful finally realise that a 2nd referendum ain't happening and their new leader is essentially a tartan tory, they'll either flock back to Labour or just not vote.

George square was a two way thing. The behaviour of the Nats, who for some reason still wanted to hog the square despite having lost, was despicable. Their anger and sense of entitlement was beyond belief. It was understandable though, given the grudge and grievance they’d been fed for months. As one policeman rightly said to an angry, overweight Nat: ‘Everyone has a right to be here’

Sounds like her landlord is an utter walloper and that friends and family are doing nothing to help. A sad reflection on society. The issue was settled in 2014 and that's that. You're right though. Hate should never win, and laws should be in place to stop them continuing to hold the country to ransom.
