  1. Yes and the size of the pitch giving our wingers no space. There’s no coincidence that Stirling twice, Bonnyrigg once were poor surfaces so we get forced into more long balls. i think the one improvement we could do is play through the middle more, I think earlier in the season we mixed it up more but recently our wingers have put the ball in the box earlier. That still works but not allowing the opposition to know where the threat is going to come from is more advantageous. It’s also why we don’t get that many penalties. For instance I’d like to see Agyeman play in the nr 10 role when he comes on for a few games. Sadly of late he’s been sent on to hold the ball in the corner for the last few minutes and yesterday didn’t get a touch at all until the referee blew his whistle. Anyway I’m not really moaning, this has been the best football I’ve seen from us in 50+ years of watching us.
  2. That felt tense until we scored, and then the drive home. Only to find the bridge to Edinburgh closed and a long detour via Kincardine - only to find the bloody M9 closed too. Then much of the Edinburgh bypass down to single line traffic. Added 90 mins on my trip home. And all the food outlets closed as I passed them having missed out dinner. Oh well worth it. COYB.
  3. He had his best game for us. Bombed forward every chance he got. Crosses into the box were mostly too close to their keeper but he gave the assist for the goal. Bad luck for him that McCann has been so good.
  4. When all the glory seekers start to turn up then you are bound to get an element who don’t support the team through thick and thin. We want them to come but they are going to be more fickle.
  5. I left Denny High inn1975 to go to University. We nearly knew each other I guess.
  6. I lived opposite the Pines. They were more aware of underage drinking than else where. Got challenged a little but that was 1975. Awful disco I seem to remember.
  7. I am not a Falkirk resident but I do care about our club and I really believe in women’s football. This article below discusses a major expansion of the Foundation’s role and the possibility of leasing ground around the stadium for £1 per annum. Part of the article claims this hub will help improve women’s football just as we hear the team is disbanded - clearly both can’t happen. https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/news/people/local-authority-looking-to-rent-land-near-falkirk-stadium-for-ps1-a-year-to-create-commuity-hub-4536219?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#bmyhyamafcq This should be a very public debate amongst the support, FSS and members of the Board and Foundation. The role or/and benefits to the club should be transparently revealed. The debate must take place quickly as the vote is next week. I post it here as an attempt to raise that debate.
  8. I think it’s important that there is a public debate about the Foundation, and it function as part of the club. FSS should prioritise this. in other News Hamilton are struggling to win at Stirling, there will be blood on the pitch if they don’t win. Surely Rankin must be gone soon.
  9. What’s this about? Any clarity? https://scotwomensfootball.com/latest-news/statement-on-falkirk-development/
  10. It’s great but Long deserves to be in there as does others who played but parts. if you want copyright on it you already do have it but put a copy in a sealed envelope and post to yourself with a date mark. Don’t open it when it arrives.
  11. I hope that one side is hammered and then enjoy their misery. Last week listening to bitter upset Celtic fans was fantastic. When the blue bigots lose I’m delighted too. If they both disappeared suddenly I would return to church as a believer I hate them both so much
  12. I remember when the choir at Brockville would sing the Sash and to my shame being English and not knowing joined in. At some point in the 80s we stopped and most of the bigotry was quickly closed down. I don’t think we have many left in our ranks. i also ran on the pitch at Clydebank despite being an adult. I remember how anxious that whole match was - when they scored it really was brown pants time.
  13. Where I sit everyone thought the first goal had come from Ross. Amazed to see it’s an own goal from the highlights. Still they all count.
  14. It appears to be a banner that can be moved around within the Tifo. google was my friend.
  15. What’s a surfer? I must be old I’ve no idea other than someone on a board.
  16. Currently in Genova but my return in time for Saturday starts now. Sadly I’ve got to return via Zurich, Stuttgart and Koln as well as Antwerpen but I’m pretty sure I can do it. My last stop before Falkirk will be the lakes to get my dog so if you want a lift…..
  17. Actually mate I like your vlogs. It’s hard to be motivated when things go wrong, which is why I guess the latest hasn’t gone up. That said I’ll still slag you but it’s only to have fun. I don’t even hate the pars. Perhaps there’s something wrong with me.
  18. The crowd will be going crazy. They hate Rankin anyway. im in Amsterdam about to drive to Italy. Hard to follow what’s happening
  19. Dunfermline getting massacred but Queens bottling it. or
  20. Am I correct Lidl (Liddel) got his shares for free in return for PR services? Did he sell them?
  21. So are you all going to admit it was all bullshit about Morrison going never mind the three player transfer bid? Embarassing.
  22. So are we all piling onto the Hamilton thread just to gloat?
  23. I was told of some of the issues the lad and the club had. I don’t want to break confidences but it clarified for me why he had to leave. Terrible shame as he was a real talent.
  24. I assume the game in the 10th will be moved given Hartley scraped through in extra time.
  25. That was a shellacking. 22 shots v 4. i see that Jordan scored for Clyde inn4 minutes.
