  1. The way we're going i wouldn't bet on us beating our own SoSL team over 2 legs. We'd draw 0-0 and lose on pens we are so bad at finding the net.
  2. Bonnyrigg 0-1 Spartans Clyde 0-3 Stenhousemuir Elgin 1-1 Peterhead Forfar 0-1 East Fife Stranraer 1-0 Dumbarton
  3. 'Mon the Blues today. It's a toughie, but i'm hoping/straw clutching that sinking to bottom spot will galvanise us.
  4. Dumbarton 1-0 Clyde East Fife 2-1 Bonnyrigg Peterhead 1-0 Forfar Stenhousemuir 0-0 Elgin Spartans 1-1 Stranraer
  5. I do drop into the WoSFL forum now and then, but i'm never quite sure if they all actually hate each other, or just on the wind up.
  6. I live down south and a good mate is an almanac on all things Albion. Gimme a minute........ Edit: He reckons it was Sunday 19th Dec 1979, and he has it listed as a 3-1 win for West Brom 'Reserves'. No Thistle scorer, only Cowdrill and Monaghan (2) for West Brom.
  7. Yep. A guy/gal running around the park with a whistle, making decisions as they see it, in the context of the game, is a referee. The same guy/gal sitting in an office with a laptop, mouse, a book of Association Football For Dummies and the Whatsapp message on who to upset this week, becomes a nerd. Tis the way of things.
  8. Yep. However i will always prefer a guess or sheer incompetence from a ref on the park than some nerd in an office controlling the outcome of games with the click of a mouse.
  9. I didn't think that was allowed? Might be wrong though. It really would be a doomsday scenario. Unless we could wangle our way into the WoSFL instead.
  10. Circle the plughole for long enough you get sucked in eventually. As you say, it is inevitable at some point. Only ex-Lg2 club who were maybe unlucky to find themselves down there are Berwick, who had one bad season. Cowden, East Stirling and Albion struggled for years, Brechin imploded as a club (bit like Edinburgh City are now). We haven't imploded, or been in serious trouble, but we've always been in the 'next cab off the rank' group of clubs. With the Pyramid it was inevitable that ambitious, well-funded ex-Junior or LL clubs would catch and overtake smaller, poorer Senior clubs like ourselves.
  11. Looking at that the ref isn't in the best position to make a decision. He probably had no idea where contact was, so guessed, and gave a yellow.
  12. The phrase rhymes with 'clucking bell'.
