    Much like a couple of my other recent league matches, that were tight throughout, swinging both ways, but ultimately running out of steam at the end. Well played.

    Done. I had already generated the fixtures, though, and you're lucky there was an odd number of players (otherwise it would have been a much fiddlier job to insert a new player). This does mean that both me and @Caro-Kann have to play catchup with a game each for the first week.

    Please don't make a habit of this sort of thing. Accommodating latecomers can make administration trickier!

     

    Thanks for this - much appreciated! Haven't played since the final league game, so chess had completely slipped my mind..

    Close game again. It was only once my queen got close enough to chase the king that the game really turned in my favour.

    Division A

    Stewartmathers runs out of time against Curmudgeon.

    Although, I had a decent lead in material at the time so it probably would have been a win if it had played out.

    I ran out of time due to bad planning on my side due to being on a flight. My opponent did have material advantage, so was happy to take the defeat as it was 100% my fault. Well played!
