  1. When I first saw the line up I thought he was going to be up front with Roy Scougs and Buchanan as the three, Robbo sitting with Roberts and Sutherland at left back. Can't fault LDs efforts tracking back but you could see he was knackered before the end of the first half.
  2. Wonder if Cammy wasn't fully fit? Felt Robbo was poor today, we usually have Cammy or Ethan overlapping and putting crosses in but Robbo just played backwards 90% of the time. Our full backs attacking and playing high has been one of our strengths this season. We were disappointing all over. Scougall was uncharacteristically poor with the ball, Roberts was quiet for most the game. Sutherlands deliveries from corners and free kicks were poor, could here him getting frustrated with himself in the second half. Losing Neill wasn't ideal with Andy being the only defender on the bench. Miko done OK when he came on. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. LD done more work defensively than I've seen of him too. Buchanan one of the few players to get pass marks. Felt he should have had a free kick when he was tripped and could see Andy was angry at the refs decision. Hopefully Steven is back next week and we'll have Wales available again.
  3. See Luke Rankin has scored a decent amount of goals for the Shire on his loan spell, wonder if he'll get another chance with us next season.
  4. Grim first half. We've made Mumbongo look world class. When LD is putting in one of our better defensive display it says a lot
  5. Steven injured? Hopefully it's nothing serious as he'd be a big miss
  6. Tidser showing his experience with that elbow. If we had VAR in league one, that would definitely have been a red. Agree with Waspie, Sammon up top encourages us to punt balls up to him which doesn't work. Hopefully Roy gets the nod on Saturday.
  7. Really liked being able to walk round the whole pitch with no segregation of home and away fans at Kelty. I went in the home entrance by mistake last time, it was pretty easy to get to. Think from the away entrance, it's probably a 2/3 minute walk. It was pretty decently signposted if I remember.
  8. Surprised Bartley is still in a job, considering the shouts of Bartley get to f**k at the last game at the Recs, which were nicely left in our highlights video if I remember correctly. Hopefully we win and keep a clean sheet so we don't have to hear the rattles
  9. I agree with you. Always liked Kurtis' energy and effort but felt at the start of the season he was poor on the ball. Remember saying to my Dad if only he could pass, he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet every week. Probably has been since Andy came in that his passing and ball retention improved greatly. Possibly the different formation and style of play allows him to express himself more, who knows.
  10. Keep going the way we are and we could be one of those Championship sides! I think we'll offer him an extension but I think he might hold off signing to see if he gets any full time offers. At 29 though it might not be worth him leaving his current job to play full time but time will tell. He's been my signing of the season, I thought it was an OK signing and he'd be decent as a squad player but he's cemented his place in our starting XI.
  11. Good job on the highlights, like the added graphics for goal scorers. The little bit of play from Taggs, Kurtis, Scougs and Steven for the fourth goal was excellent.
  12. Good to see the club starting to get things in place for next year. He's done an excellent job with a squad he inherited, I'd imagine he'd be quite happy to keep the majority of the current squad if possible. Has he officially retired as a player or is it another player/manager contract?
  13. Good to see PJ is back fit and Wales is available. Last game at the Recs, Edinburgh looked a lot better than their league position would suggest. Deane was pretty good first half but faded a bit as game went on. Would like to see us keep another clean sheet and help improve our goal difference, just in case it ends up coming down to that at end of the season.
  14. Read in our thread they'd tried to ban genuine home and away supporters too. There certainly wasn't anywhere near as many young fans against Kelty as there had been. Seen some getting searched before entry too. I could be wrong with the official banning though
  15. I seen we've banned a lot of the younger fans from the Recs, not sure how that works with away games. Edinburgh away been a bit of a bogey fixture for us. Hopefully with the way we've been playing recently we'll do enough to come back with 3 points. Will be interesting to see who replaces Wales up top if he is away with Scotland. I think Roy's the better choice if we're wanting to play the same type of football but Sammon is good for a goal and can never fault his efforts.
  16. Second TOTW for Steven this season I think?
  17. Anyone know if Wales is going with the U19 squad? If he goes, I'd like to see Roy get a go up front over Sammon. With the way our attackers were linking up on Saturday, think Roy would fit into the role better.
  18. Shocking to tar all fans with the same brush. I thought the young fans coming in singing and trying to get an atmosphere going was a good thing for the club. Just the ones who were purely there to cause trouble with opposing fans needed dealt with. Seen other clubs like Peterhead made a new stand for their young fans to encourage them. The club should be doing all it can to encourage more people into the ground, not trying to ban people doing nothing wrong.
  19. Noticed some of the young fans were getting searched before they were going into the ground. Have a few of them been banned? Seemed to be a fair amount less than usual
  20. Good performance all round for us, could have had 4/5 goals on another day. Guessing PJ injured in the warm up? Don't remember Ogayi having much to do. One thing about the team is they are all definitely playing for Andy and each other. If you'd said at the start of the season you'd see Coulson and Taylor sprinting back to help defend, I don't think many would have believed you. Even LD put in a decent shift tracking back. If the league has a tally of aerial duels won, I'd imagine Neill is top of that list.
  21. Well deserved for both. Liked Andy's interview saying it's the whole management team and not just him, just seems an all round likeable guy. Would like to here his footballing story in an interview with Open Goal. Seen our game with Cove's been picked for TV as well
  22. Not sure if Jay was maybe asked to stay given we only had Burt to replace him. Think it was after Muir had left? If I was Wales agent (if he has one but I'd imagine he does), I'd be encouraging him to go and show what he can do against players of a similar level. If he's had interest from clubs down in England already, surely a lot of clubs look at these U19/U21 competitions to scope out talent so he could earn a move in the summer.
  23. We should be looking to take 9 points from these next three games if we want to cement our place in the playoffs. Hopefully Miko fit to return and push Scougall up to replace Cawley. Other than that, wouldn't make any other changes
  24. I totally forgot about the 5-0 loss to Falkirk, must have repressed that memory.
  25. Player of the Season: Kurtis Roberts Surprise Package: Kurtis Roberts Most Improved Player: Steve Buchanan Disappointment of the Season: Euan Deveney Goal of the Season: Taylor Steven v Stirling Win of the Season: Hamilton away Loss of the Season: Stirling Albion at home Signing of the Season: Bobby Wales (if loans count)
