  1. Mind when we tried paying a decent fee for that dumpling?
  2. As you've said already land sales etc aren't necessarily always bad. While I don't know much about it the indication is the club owns land away from the stadium footprint as well. If they used that to sell to builders or built houses on it that additional income could boost the clubs finances Whatever they do I just want a pre match area to go thats decent.
  3. The investors are Matthew Klase (attorney, Atlanta, Georgia); Franklin Lemond (attorney, Atlanta, Georgia); Chet Arter (attorney, St. Augustine, Florida); Mark Chastain (physician, Atlanta, Georgia); Chris Davis (physician, Birmingham, Alabama); Jeff Hardwick (entrepreneur, Birmingham, Alabama); Kyle Ingalls (entrepreneur, Savannah, Georgia); and Cary Webb (retired math professor and my father, Chicago, Illinois).
  4. Don't know how much he's worth but the names will be announced next week in some kind of press release. Probably a bit like the sale announcement I imagine...
  5. I don't have much knowledge about growing a brand but I can see that being the biggest challenge. It's all good and well having a nice branded shop in the town but how do you increase the interest and therefore the spend in the shop to make it worthwhile? How do you translate that into bums on seats regularly too? I know the experts will have a few ideas but easier said than done I feel. Especially aside from thr museum the town being a ghost town. Personally I do hope they can reinvigorate the relationship between the city/fans/club. While it's not terrible If they can capture a bit more buzz then it'll make things exciting all round.
  6. He doesn't come to Saints as backup. His wages won't allow that either. He'll command decent £. Caulker was on BBC radio Wales on Friday night. If that was in the studio then I doubt he could have been at Arbroath. If he was just on the line though....
  7. Appreciate this is "in an ideal world" Could they expand out at the back of the East Stand? Wider concourse area with a bar area in it somewhere? A few lower league English clubs have the turnstiles that lead directly into a sports bar type area with exits at the opposite end into the stand itself. Would love that kind of thing.
  8. They want people to go more and spend more like all businesses. Make going to the ground for a beer remotely appealing. Muirton Suite is tired and the quality of product provided is awful. The pints are usually horrendous flat or polar opposite where it requires 2 pints to be poured away for every one served. Longer term they could expand it as well to allow for away fans to come to the ground with busses as well. £££. They could look at refreshing what's stocked as well. More local products? Along side a redecoration and redesign of the room layout to improve so that the second it gets busy there's no point going to the bar.
  9. That feedback email address that's been shared. Do we know who's reviewing those? The fan steering group?
  10. 17 min Webb interview. This bad boy is worthy of being cast to the TV!
  11. If he's reporting it, has it come from that bloody agent potentially?
  12. Courier reporting Saints have rejected a bid from Swansea for Adama. They're calling it "low ball"
  13. Not sure staying up on goal difference is something that can be used as evidence those questioning the team last season were wrong. Saints were absolutely shite far too often last season.
  14. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/xBjW3MW5mtCwgKHM/ Facebook highlights montage of him when they played against Porto in the cup.
  15. No. Seen online there wouldn't be any patg. Although teams often say that then there's patg anyway
  16. Or if it doesn't work out it's not a player another player we're stuck paying for 3 years. Two ways to look at everything. The loan is likely down to him not willing to take a pay cut form his current contract. If his contract is then up he could sign a pre contract after Jan.
  17. FYI the exit poll was a combined effort from all the broadcasters so they all reported the same one. It was wrong though. That's mainly because they made little effort in Scotland to get it right and only sent 13 people to poll the whole of Scotland. As for Saints. Know very little about either signing other than the internet info from googling but... Welcome to Saints lads! In simple terms spending a fee on a potential prospect and bringing in a experienced "leader" type makes sense.
  18. Was just reading that and trying to work out what they meant by it?!
  19. Just need another 50 players to leave for a decent development fee to cover the cost of the car park.
  20. Do you think we'll start the season any less of a rabble than we started last? Not counted but it feels like we're about to go into the League Cup with a smaller squad with less senior players than we did last. Of course there's still time for that to improve though.
