If we are indeed playing a 4 4 2 then a central midfield of Cameron and Sylla seems slightly comical.
Thankfully we're playing St Johnstone.
Thank you.
Spoiler: Saints definitely arent playing 4-4-2

Good evening Saints! Wee rumour that we’re bringing in Chris Kane on loan. James McPake did an interview after our 0-3 deafest to Queens Park to say hopefully some experience would be sorted in the next week. Likely story or very much part of the plans in Perth? But
If it is true, what kinda guy are we getting?
A very hardworking holdup type centre forward who is good at winning free kicks etc when battling with the central defenders. Commited team player kind of guy.
Slightly injury prone now. Also lacks any real conviction in front of goal, especially when he's required to think about it. There's no finesse about him either.

Imagine going to the boozer with some of these Perth lot.
Giving them some abuse as they start rattling on about the pub being an open space for anyone to enjoy peacefully. No bad words please.
Right laugh with these lot , with lord Radford ready for the Barbara Windsor Queen vic act as he chops down anyone who gets out of line.
Suppers.
Thank You.
Let's phrase it a different way. What if you were constantly following the person round the pub constantly talking shit and harassing him and telling them they should go away? Despite it being YOU that's following them?
every time it's just moron Dundee fans talking shite. If it's banter it's absolutely fucking terrible. TALK ABOUT THE FOOTBALL
the game will be off again anyway.

Btw.. does the tannoy lad do the ScotRail adverts? Sounds incredibly like him if not?!

More Top 6 chat in the latest interview.
Wish I saw what the players seem to see.
You wouldn't mind that top 6 talk after last night regardless of the result if they'd showed some intent, been positive and tried to take the game to Hearts.
What we got was a performance of a side who are trying to shitfest points to finish 10th.
I know it's not as easy as simply going out there and play on the front foot you're never going to achieve top 6 with game plans like last nights. In the first half it felt like we'd setup to play Celtic.
Although last night's game plan worries me that it's not going to be a one off. We've signed pacey forwards so is last night now going to be the regular game plan? 10 men behind the ball, zero pressure on the ball, allowing teams to have the freedom of their own half and hoping for a chance on the break.
We've seen it occasionally under Levein at Tynecastle but I can see it being the regular game plan. Especially if the likes of Smith and Phillips aren't available.
As for Max. He's always involved yet produces and offers very little, offensively or defensively.
They've also clearly not learned from the Carey deep role after Airdrie, although I would say he played it much better last night than he has previously, although that's a low bar.

What earned him a move to Liverpool? He then also got a loan to the MLS. We then paid a fee for him.
All of which is bewildering...

We didn’t have a right wing back playing i’m afraid.
You can call it a right back. I called it a right wing back.
Missing the point though regardless of what you're calling it.

That was horrific.
Max is the new Gary Macdonald.
So much over coaching and over complicating things. The right wing back going narrow etc. f**k off.
Also the pitch? Looks a mess already.

Definitely looking lightweight in midfield.
Looks the usual 5-2-2-1 though.

You yokels make me howl with laughter.
Costelloe excelling in the Dark Blue after being hounded out by Perth muppets who qualify pub level strikers as knowing where the goals are whatever the level.
Thank you.
Imagine being from a massive shit hole going about calling folk yokels.
All I seen on twitter was Dundee fans calling Costelloe shite as well.

Newcastle fan account saying he's been recalled. Oh no....

I know absolutely nothing about the lad but I'd much rather we give guys like him a chance over a washed up 33 year old who's failed at the last 2-3 clubs at our level they've been at.

Crying out for width. No need to sign Kimpioka and Adama
When you say width do you mean a winger?
Reason I ask is they probably won't sign or even be looking for a winger because they're not planning on playing with any.

Goodison Park makes McDiarmid look in good condition. Not entirely sure handy down seats from Goodison are what we want

Levein wants 1 more.
Names?

I feel like some people are being generally overly gloomy. It's nothing to scream from the rooftops about. But...
From where we were before Levein came in to where we are now is definitely an improvement not only in League table but also in what you see on the park.
Yesterday's second half and of course Airdrie not good examples of that but in patches I can now at least see what the game plan is and how they want to play.
Under Davidson and MacLean we would have probably lost both the Aberdeen game and Motherwell game as well and told after "what can you expect from a club like us".
I also don't think they're on purpose trying to play defensively. I think it's more about lack of confidence when games are tight and that results in negative decision making on the pitch.
Give them time and see how they get on. This time next season it'll be a better gauge on the direction they're going on as they'll have lost more of the ball and chain wage players to then reuse on their own signings.

Already seems like he’d rather be anywhere other than managing Saints. If what I’m hearing is true he’s never at the stadium and pretty much leaves everything to Kirk.
Honestly thought we’d hit a new low when Gordon was clearly hurt and they didn’t have anyone ready to come on but then Phillips gets hurt in second half and physio pretty much has to be persuaded to go on to tend to him. Whole club is a shambles from top to bottom.
The physio nonsense was horrendous. Did he just ignore the referee or was he instructed by Levein to continue across the pitch?
Phillips clearly made the point he didn't need treatment, the ref also used common sense to send the physio back off again. He stopped.... Looked to me like he turned round to go back off then changed his mind again.
Looked like time "management" to me.

Very poor today, thank goodness we have Andy Considine and Ryan McGowan to keep the back solid.
We still never look like scoring.
I said similar at full time. I thought Considine deserved praise for his personal performance. 36 year old and a second 90 mins of the week

I'll do some digging and see if I can find out if he's his agent!

Was getting confused by the Saints fans booing.
Then realised the Motherwell fans are even more upset for some reason.

Keljins I think said he was injured.
I'm probably more worried about the performances of a few. Aside from Smith the midfield were non existent. Wing backs on box sides offering zero forward threat.
Our inability to stop ANY crosses into the box is horrendous as well. Olufunwa was getting absolutely rinsed. They doubled up in the wide areas simple one two and away yet we did absolutely nothing to try and counter act it.
2-1 was flattering IMO.
