  1. A good start would have been taking a couple of points from the "tough games" and not just getting beat as many expected. That's without looking at the manner of the results.
  2. I presume he'd still be the decision maker to replace the manager? Just makes me think that we're in for the long haul in this torture.
  3. Why wouldn't they use the current tv feed the media use with additional camera feeds? Go pros scream problems due to dead batteries, people in the way of the shot etc. I presume they'd be manned cameras Also most importantly how are they going to be able to do offsides with 6 cameras in the whole ground? Lots of trying to judge offsides from stills that are nowhere near being inline?
  4. Prime example of that would be a lineman flags for offside but the referee seen the defender actually played the ball and not the attacking player. Ignore the linesman's flag. Goal.
  5. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/st-johnstone/3618484/st-johnstone-head-of-operations-ian-flaherty-stresses-great-unity-at-mcdiarmid-park-and-backs-manager-callum-davidson-in-transfer-market/ The 100% unity is fine but you've already lost the fans. It's very close to becoming toxic. At times it already has been. A pumping from Hearts & a poor performance against St. Mirren and you'll be hearing some "Callum Callum get tae f**k" The inevitable conversation will come, just 4-5 months to late.
  6. You've also got the likes of Paul Smith who jacked it in (I know he returned again in a different role) but was he not the equivalent of a head of football operations in his previous stint? I seem to remember rumours at the time that he was pissed off with how things were. I could be wrong though
  7. Could be out for the remainder of the year. Think its a knee injury of some kind. His last appearance was Dundee on the 26th of January
  8. I know it's not easy but this weekend has to be up there with the poorest across the board officiating performance in the Premiership I've seen. All the talk is the Rangers, Hibs game but the penalty Motherwell received and Ross Callahan fouls were absolutely horrendous decisions. I have no faith these diddies will use VAR well either.
  9. I also know he has indeed represented players who've signed for Saints in talks with the club etc. Drey Wright being one. It's not some completely mad myth either.
  10. It was in a Sunday paper. Had a funny feeling it was agent trying to leverage Motherwell into increasing their offer though...
  11. Hearts with two suspended, a few injured or carrying injuries then playing Thursday night. Ideal time to play them & have a go. Shame it'll be same old stuff.
  12. Change the subject a bit. I hope the family of the individual that went through the challenging health situation today have all the support they need. All the best to them! Don't know the outcome, nor is it my business but all the best
  13. 3 goals? 3 shots on target would be out of the question. It's getting to the point I don't want to go to games anymore. What does that say for the part time fan? Nothing has been learned from the previous efforts to chase games. More attacking players on the pitch does not equal more attacking football. Especially first half, it wasn't amazing but it was at times in the right manner but we work it into the wrong areas for the attacking players we have. What's the point in working it into wide areas and then crossing it into the likes of May or Bair? Our goal threat comes from the likes of Murphy and Carey doing something individually. It's like the manager is on another planet?! People screamed for Bair to get a chance. I think we know why he was a spectator last season.
  14. Another game where we put plenty effort in but the quality was basically zero. Especially after Aberdeen scored. It's simply not up to the standard required. What was the game plan after they scored? Sub on more "attacking" players and hope it'll happen? Shite after they scored
  15. The deal somewhere like that will surely be getting closer and closer you'd imagine. Don't know his financial position of course but mortgages need paid etc
  16. I can't see it being anymore than the ref signalling and tannoy announcement. This is low budget cheapo VAR. It's not on any of the scale of the tv leagues. I wouldn't be expecting competence. That was the impression given on Sportsound by Ian Maxwell as well.
  17. For VAR think it's using the standard tv cameras as they're only bothering with 6 cameras for non tv games (12 for tv games, so probably sky's setup) I hope they don't waste money on a new screen. Partly pointless at McDiarmid anyway as no matter where you put it a portion of the crowd can't see it. Surely a signals from the ref followed by tannoy announcement would suffice. They'll need a ref viewing point for pretendy going to watch it having already decided they're changing the decision.
  18. I think Rooney was injured at the start of the season. Regarding McCann for those interested, go read the replies to their weekend lineup announcement! There's hundreds of "McCann dropped??!!!!!" Rage replies so sounds like he's been performing alright. Manager just doesn't fancy him.
  19. Neither are the Rotherham fans by the looks of it. He's not played a single league minute.
  20. He's only played 6 times since signing last January so impossible to tell. Probably better than the likes of Ashcroft though
  21. For what it's worth I think that approach has been pretty much abandoned already. It's stick to who you know now. Crawford, Macpherson, Considine, McGowan, Wright, Murphy, Carey etc.
  22. Depends, as the squad is still bloated. I imagine Max will go on loan in January if Spoony is fit. Maybe a centre forward...
