  1. This club needs an actual fan to start writing these updates. Someone who can read it and say… ‘you know what, that’s all a load of shite, tell the truth and stop treating your loyal fan base like customers and idiots’
  2. Agree on Eze, Williamson and Healy comments. Eze is unfortunately just not good enough for us and our aspirations. He struggles to play the basics of his game with confidence. My feeling is, he just isn’t competent technically to play in our team. Felt Bruce has a decent enough game, feel he can offer more going forward and hopefully we’ll see that more soon.
  3. His close ball control, work ethic, ability to read the game and as you say goals and assists - makes him a top creative player, who could certainly player at a higher level. I call him the ‘Scottish Leagues Messi’
  4. And Grant Savoury for Player of the Month too ️️ Have a sneaky feeling Simon might win the January award…
  5. Nahhh. Strength to strength from here for the 🕷 🕷
  6. Well there you go Owen Coyle Manager of the Month for December.
  7. Does anyone know when SPFL are likely to announce Championship Player of the Month for December. I feel Murray or Savoury have to be in the mix. Only played 2 games in December but they both got 3 goals each. Owen Coyle might even get Manager of the Month? 6 points from 6 and 8 for; 1 against. Although that’ll probably go to McCall.
  8. The fact that 7 of those were there last season shows the work that OC and his team have done over summer and this season so far. Trusted the players and rewarded with their development. We won’t win every game (probably) but what we as fans can be assured of, is that we have a manager who gets it and has created a team that excites, plays the right way and is getting better with each passing week. We look mentally stronger and hungrier with each passing week.
  9. I agree that the league should be priority, but can’t escape the reality that this cup represents a genuine chance for us to lift a trophy too.
  10. 4 points clear. Joint top scorer in Championship. Top assister. Simon, Grant and Dom stats combined in all comps: 37 goals; 22 assists. 🕷 Can’t stop smiling at Queens since that tele defeat back in November.
  11. Agreed. Would be the best Jan window business we could do right now. Well him and Charlie on a longer deal too.
  12. Simon Murray is a man reborn. Those playoffs last season turned him into the player lots of us hoped (probably only a few thought it) he’d be for us. Captain. Leader. Goal-Machine. Assister. ‘girls don’t like boys…’ 🕷
  13. What does Cammy Bruce have to do to get any minutes off the bench this season?
  14. As many of us know and feel, the club have not got a lot right this season so far off the pitch. And although some of those wrongs are yet to be put right (namely keeping fans up to date with stadium developments, kick off changes etc). Credit where it is due, the club organised and arranged an excellent return to the south side. Yes it was to Hampden and there are those who have feelings about that, but Saturday was an important milestone in our journey. To see all the kids, community groups and friends of fans come along for the occasion can only help the club re-establish its place back in the community, in Glasgow. Even if we only capture a small percentage of those kids or groups to return, it’s still a huge positive. Helped that the team made it a great occasion too, some superb goals ️️
  15. Hampden Return - great day out and brilliant to see all the younger kids singing, chanting and cheering ️️
  16. I was thinking about this this morning. The ‘Spirit of Glasgow’ kit. Not seen or heard a peep about it since. Looking forward to seeing what it’s all about.
  17. Sadly not going to make this one. But feel we need to do what’s needed to get through. Either a big away day in the next round or a wee run of a couple more rounds is at stake - it’s the cup and means a lot. I’d personally allow Murray, M. Boateng, Robson and Thomas the afternoon off. But everyone one else should/could feature in some capacity. If it were up to me, I’d go with the following XI in a 4-4-2. Ferrie, Bannon, Eze, Fox, Bruce, Longridge, Jarrett, Thomson, Savoury, Williamson, Kenny
  18. He had a great first game back. He’s very comfortable on the ball and I think he enables Lee and Tommy to reach higher levels too.
  19. So, our own website lists this fixture and all other home fixtures for the season as being at ‘Home’, as opposed to ‘Ochilview’ and the map is of the Hampden area. Got me wondering: 1. Was the original agreement to ground share with Stennie only till end of Nov originally? 2. If yes, are we trying to extend it? 3. Have we already tried and failed at that? 4. Assuming the original plan was to perhaps be at Lesser for Dec, have we now gone to SFA to strike a deal for Hampden for remainder of season? 5. Are we homeless again after ICT game?
  20. The fact that the ICT game is 11 days away and we are speculating about the k.o. time is unacceptable regardless of whether the club have been great up to this point or not (the latter being the actually case, obviously). As some have said the planning that goes into attending, for some fans, shouldn’t be overlooked. We should have the luxury at this level of knowing that unless we’ve been chosen to be on the BBC on a Friday, we play Saturday 3pm. This is it Zanetti. They do seem to expect us to accept and adapt to their plans. It’s annoying that the reality is that most of us will, because we want to support the team and the club. And if the club were upfront from the off about the real situation with Stennie & Syngenta - I am sure most of us would accept (happily or unhappily) the Friday night situation (if we had the full picture) and accept it’s a temporary means to ensure the club can still compete. But to now have to contend with a, potential, Saturday 5pm kick off? Moves the goal posts again. Would a club announcement help me? Yes. As It may, at the very least, make me feel like I’m a consideration for the club. For me personally, I don’t ask for much in return for my ST money. I don’t expect us to win and I don’t expect to be entertained at games. However I think it’s reasonable to expect that my club values me as a fan and respects the fact that I am not a ‘customer’. I turn up to games because I love the club and will continue to love it regardless of who’s turn it is to ‘have a go’ at running it. The club will always mean more to fans than any CEO/President/Owner etc. ever will. Yours, an increasingly more disgruntled Spider 🕷
  21. What did she say on this last occasion? I can’t even recall hearing or reading it
  22. Pictures of lines on the pitch, some seats being installed. But reality is the overall scene is construction site and unfinished elements everywhere your eye looks. What is actually going on? I wish we knew. I know that the vast majority of us feel very similar to how I feel just now. I just want the club to make an announcement, any announcement at all to just let us fans be seen and made to feel that we are a part of this journey. If the stadium is going to take 6 more months, the club should just tell us and stop fearing a potential backlash. For me it’s the ambiguity of it all that makes me feel feelings towards my club that I don’t want to feel.
  23. Pressure on then For what it’s worth, I don’t think we’ll end Friday top, more to do with the fact I think ICT will win. But I didn’t expect the performance at Firhill Saturday - as I’m sure most of us - if not all - didn’t. Play with the cohesion, tempo and confidence of Saturday and Dundee will be beaten. In my opinion.
