    The minter list.

I voted to keep as if run properly it would be beneficial. The problem we have in Scotland is the application where VAR is basically used to re-referee too many decisions and has led to refs not giving decisions and letting the VAR ref decide. We need to more clearly define what gets referred and cut out the nonsense ones of limited contact, slight tug of jersey being picked up. Having a poor standard of ref overall does not help. If the question is do I have faith that VAR in Scotland will be improved I'd probably say no.

  2. Thought last night's questions/ discussion points were quite good and debated well and with courtesy. A surreal point is I'm sure one of the questions was from someone I last saw in goals for Hibs when they lost 5 0 to Aberdeen when Alex Ferguson won his first title!

f**k going drinking round Ibrox way. There are one or two decent boozers on Paisley Road West but wouldn't go near them on match day.

Mitchell Lane and you're a short stagger to the St Enoch tube.

Scotia an option for St Enoch's,  used to regularly have live music in the afternoons. Also the Spoons. Was in Brechin's at Govan tube station when working in the area many years back and it was okay. Match day experience likely different though.

  4. Lewis Miller comes on with 10 minutes to go, gives away a penalty in 94th minute where South Korea equalise, then gives away a free kick on edge of the box that Son scores from. Feel a bit sorry fir him. Australia also now down to 10 men after VAR review straight red

  5. Australia v South Korea just started. 7 of Australia"s starting line up do or ave played in Scotland, with another 2 on the bench. Oh on the  bench for South Korea, as he usually is for Celtic.

Women’s teams regularly play on a Sunday, which I assume has become a thing to prevent as much of a clash with men’s football. Men’s football primarily occurs on a Saturday, save games being moved for TV or due to European commitments, so it makes sense that women’s football in this country have tried to occupy the Sunday slots instead.

The situation appears to be that the SWPL have arranged a game at a time which clashes with a card of men’s SPFL fixtures, because they’ve deviated away from their usual time slot for games. You can be as obtuse as you like about it, but that’s on the organisers of the Cup Final, and not on the SPFL or the clubs involved.

Seems strange to announce Saturday for the final if Sunday is the normal day for woman's games. Could it be for the Sky scheduling if no EPL that weekend?

It's a bit embarrassing. Maybe I'm a bit 'Abe Simpson vs Clouds' but the guy hit a bit of viral fame with Jeezy Peeps and now tries desperately to force it. Arbroath are a well run outfit, and are a lesson on how a part time club can be grown both on and off the pitch. Yet stuff like that genuinely adds to the whole pub league schtick which gets aimed at our league system, much in the same way Somerset Boab does down at Ayr.

I've never got over his Covid commentary against the rovers when he recalled going to Jackie O's to try and pick up lassies, and sleeping in his Ford Capri before driving back home.
