  1. Nah I think there's many things to criticise (mainly his now-weekly snidey comments about women or some other marginalized group you aren't allowed to joke about), but use of the word "raker" is absolutely fair and good to use
  2. I don't mind Richard Gordon normally, OAM has been poorer without him. But he's butthurt his precious Dons are way off the pace, and his Cove Rangers experiment has lost momentum I think we rely too much on our wingbacks for creativity at the moment. Definitely agree we have too many similar midfielders. I still think Grant could be the answer? I think the way he got the job still rankles. Somehow he still feels like an interim manager. Possibly because Robbie was so associated with the club and for so long I'm hopeful that we use the likes of Tait and Denholm rather than take the likes of a Lowry on board.
  3. Looks like it ends in the box, but the initial foul was well outside. Bit of a two-part foul
  4. About fucking time! All they others getting the praise! Thanks Hoose!
  5. Sounds like we got absolutely sucker punched for the second and haven't been terrible per se. Stewart getting absolutely tore into Nieuwenhoff and I am here for it
  6. Beni and Denholm will have to put a shift in this evening
  7. Yeah.... I mean Bartley basically has criminal conviction in "not being a nice guy"....
  8. Craig Gordon is a sexy young looking mofo though
  9. I wouldn't go as far as that, but Tam to a degree very much thinks in terms of the 50s-70s both in music, comedy and what is acceptable.. Which is unfortunate because he does seem like a nice guy and can be pretty witty
  10. "How about we do something revolutionary and say that Glasgow is a working class city and that Edinburgh is exclusively populated by drab middle class people who don't understand comedy"
  11. Kenny Mac or whomever on Sportsecene trying to whip up a Shankland Storm
  12. Apologies for the source, but I hope they get Professor Doctor Leitch back on and discuss this https://twitter.com/ChrisMusson/status/1748341650747691399?t=LKEQRt9BQ-nTgoMV-SlLKw&s=19
  13. Lowry - I thought there was a player in there, surprised to see him go. Halliday - I know the podcast etc riles people but a player who always gave his all etc and has a Derby named after him. Good lad McGovern - Meh Forrest - good news. He might not be the best but he always gives his all and I think does as he's told (e.g. playing LWB). I think a signing for his attitude as much as his impact (and he's becoming a decent impact sub too!)
  14. I had, and was frustrated but I am tempted to say it's bollocks as I agree with this - Dhanda is a skillful and fairly rapid attacker..... Seems to be a slot already filled for the men in green? I am sorry the lad has had more than his fair share of health issues, but I can't believe that actual money was paid for the guy.
  15. Yeah I knew this would be brought up. I guess I thought he could have been the long term solution to Scotland's striker issues....
  16. Fair. I thought of him generally. Didn't realize he'd been a gardener. What a waste of a player/career though (imo)
  17. Pardon my ignorance but who's the first guy? Oh that's interesting... And being from Aberdeen moving to Edinburgh keeps them away?
  18. I'm not sure Fletcher was a player who naturally stood out - tidy and dependable. I always felt he suffered because we tried to make him a no10 internationally when he played 6/8 domestically.
  19. I've also just remembered that my mate (whom sadly I am no longer in contact with due to my arseholery) referred to Ferguson as The Govan Crab
  20. Yes, but part of becoming a top player is the whole package... That includes making better decisions. And professionalism. Which particularly latter-day Barry didn't have. I still maintain that in a poor Scotland team he should have stood out, but he didn't. Never performed imo. That's a Scotland team that had Kenny Miller (a trier, but limited) up front for aeons. Yep. Possibly. This is a conversation that happened a long time ago, and my mate was sure of it
  21. Someone I used to know summed up the issue of perception with Ferguson well - At the same time England had Michael Owen breaking through and we needed our own "next big thing", and everyone jumped on the bazza train.
