  3. Some result for Craigmark Burnt Onions last night, wonder if they can get themselves into a promotion spot wi four games left; I reckon Ashfield will be joining Renfrew in the first division but could be tight between Craigmark and Maybole for the final spot
  4. "Lucky & Wild" (they had yin at Largs arcade), ye sat in a big sort of convertible thing that had a screen in front of it, it was a two player where one person drove and the other person had a gun that was mounted next to the steering wheel - pure class
  5. Congrats to Renfrew on the promotion to the first division, well deserved.

  7. There was a shop up the street from me that randomly had a Pacland machine in it, I only remembered it a couple of years ago and it took me ages to find the name of it, trying to explain it to people was like a fever dream "Aye it's Pacman but he's got legs and is wearing a hat, and he's like walking around this toon, and the ghosts drive motors..."
  8. Nice!! I've never been yet but that definitely sways me. I went to that Super Bario before in the Merchant City but found it quite dear, fun though. In terms of other pubs in Glesga that have arcade machines in them, I can venture The Raven, Sleazys and The Arlington for having those 1000 in 1 Pandoras Box type machines.
  9. Back in the day, going to the baths, bowling, an arcade or wherever, was there a particular machine you'd be desperate for a shot of above all others? The swimming baths where I grew up had a café in it with a Street Fighter II machine that was an early obsession for me, if I see it somewhere I'll still insist whoever I'm with plays me at it (I'm pretty pish, cannae really pull off any combos or that but learned a few of the special moves as Chun-Li). The other big one for me is Bubble Bobble, I can't mind exactly when the first time I played it was, but I've got a wee table top cabinet version of it that I'm still addicted to (still never beat it).
  10. Not long finished the new(ish) Irvine Welsh yin, "The Long Knives", was a decent yarn but a bit muddied around the trans rights issue, felt like he had something he wanted to say but ended up saying nothing. I reckon he must have had leftover material after being involved with the TV adaptation of "Crime", which was also pretty good.
  11. Nothing to see here. Just normal polis in a normal country behaving normally.
  12. Was planning on being oot the country but since that's fallen through I might just sit in and watch some documentaries on the French Revolution and Russian Civil War. Nae special reason, just love ma history.
  13. Been following St Anthonys; only started going to games at this level last season doing a bit of ground-hopping with a pal and then decided to follow the team with the ground closest to my flat.

  17. Went along to RCD Mallorca Vs Getafe on Sunday evening on a trip we took ma auld man on for his 60th and it really impressed me as an experience, wasn't knowing quite what to expect but they had a good crowd and the standard of fitba in the second half was really entertaining - particularly the wee Korean attacking mid for Mallorca, Lee Kang-in. Better atmosphere and game than I expected, can see myself watching mare Spanish fitba going forward.

  19. Tha mi ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig cuideachd! I've just been doing the Duolingo stuff but I've been really enjoying it so far. I think there is some kind of gaelic language centre doon the road from me near the Lismore Bar in Glasgow, but I've not gone along to any of the events or that, I'm never sure if it annoys folk if you rock up to these things as an absolute beginner.
