Pretty big game already for County - Motherwell win and they go 8 points ahead of us with less than a quarter of the season gone. We really need a win to avoid becoming cut off towards the bottom. Our defence should pretty much pick itself but our midfield/attack has been chopped and changed so often this season it's impossible to predict how we will go. Some big games this month which County should be targeting. Praying for any win on Tuesday, don't care how minging it is.

I'm pretty sure that has come off Porteous' arm, but Hibs have pinned us back non stop this second half, and look like they're going to score again every time they go forward. We're just punting long aimless balls up front for White to chase.

MM hit the nail on the head in the P&J today, final pass/cross/touch let us down big time. Couple of times in the second half particularly yesterday, where a bit more composure would have put us through one on one.

Some of our ball control is poor. Pass the ball around nicely enough and then it breaks down or slows up because of a rancid touch.

Akio is soo one-footed its incredible. Could have put White through there but tried to take another touch with his right foot and fucked it.

Baldwin back should make a difference, but I'd leave Callachan on the bench for a week or 2. Expecting Laidlaw back in goals. One of these games that I'd be hopeful of getting something from, but Aberdeen look much better than last season already. If we can get the first goal we give ourselves a decent chance.

Good points re the 1st, 2nd and 4th goals, think that's a fair reflection. However, that 3rd goal - which was the one the put the game to bed - was poor goalkeeping imo. It's basic keeping to push the ball away from the 6 yard box, he's got 2 hands to it and really should do better.

It was merely an (fairly obvious, granted) observation. As one of the 4 teams who went down last year (as quoted in the original post) you'd have thought it might have been a target for them. Then again, maybe not. I'll be sure to check with you beforehand next time though.

I was at the game, and while there's no doubt it was an underwhelming County performance, Alloa's only shot on target was the penalty. First half County were comfortable - credit to Alloa in the second half, they came out and made it difficult for us. We didn't help ourselves at times, long punts from either Baldwin or Iacovitti into no man's land, Samuel playing almost as a sitting midfielder at times or Jordy Hiwula leading the line with no one within 25 yards or him. Lots to improve on, but like other have said plenty of changes over the last 3 games and hopefully against East Fife we'll see close to a first 11 going into the Hearts game.

I'd like to hope County step it up a bit from the previous 2 games. Be decent to see Aiko get a run out at some point.

I've just seen the highlights (ParsTV) now, and if they're a fair reflection then we're gonna need to buck up our ideas pretty quickly. Don't know how Dunfermline didn't score with a couple of their chances. It took us weeks to gel last season but I doubt we could afford even a similar start this year. Another big turnover but MM needs to find a way to get round that early this season.
