  1. Newtongrange Vs Glenrothes could be any score. Since the new management team came in they've just absolutely went for it in every game and look like scoring with every attack. Unfortunately they also look like conceding with every attack. Paul said he'd be taking the shackles off and letting players express themselves and that's certainly the case so far. Michael Jones, Dean Ballantyne and Ryan Porteous have been absolutely brilliant in what's been disappointing seasons for the 3 of them. Looking extremely forward to next season though and if the defensive frailties are sorted then I can see Newtongrange doing extremely well and will be a great watch
  2. So you must be a member to have an opinion now, absolute nonsense. I know a lot of fans don't have memberships as it's just not worth it really. Having not been at the game on Saturday I can't comment but surely fans are entitled to an opinion on the job the manager is doing no? As of today it's not that great a job in my honest opinion and I haven't been for a few weeks now as frankly it's just not appealing to watch us either stumble to a positive result or get hammered like we did against Preston. Unfortunately I don't see us winning promotion under Chris and ultimately he'll have failed what target he was set and will surely fall on his sword? If not then we will head further into the abyss I think Be on the star
  3. Another worry is the crowds, other than the usual battle hardened fans in the stands it's dwindling at an alarming rate. Take away Davie, Scott Dorans, Joe Wilson, Iain and what do we have left? Kingy was a magnificent player, up their with Tony O'Hara, John Hislop, Rab Prentice and Walter Kidd, one I had extremely high hopes of seeing play attacking free flowing football but it's not panned out the way. That unfortunately is contributing to the crowds or should I say lack of. Saturday is a good game to kick-start the season though in a great competition for our boys Be on The Star
  4. To be fair to Urban123 a lot of what he is saying is true. The current squad is arguably the worst I have seen in my 56 years of watching them. The decline in the club in the last 10/15 years is staggering, yes we had a spell when Windy was in charge where we challenged but that's all it was, a 2/3 year spell. We don't play with any confidence or freedom, I have no idea what formation they play at times and it's eye bleeding stuff. We let the young lad Dougall go and he's now lowland league with Gala, Ryan Turner has been jettisoned to Arniston, Waugh is in and out, young Logan Imrie played 45 mins Vs Dunipace and was dropped to the bench for it alongside Ryan. Unfortunately I don't think we will be challenging this season unless drastic changes are made. As for comments about the facilities well that's nonsense as they are the envy of most of not all the club's in East Region Be on The Star
