Not sure this is true , I see plenty of improvement in Dipo since the summer . That goal he took at Dundee ,running it in from distance , wasn't really his bag , back in the summer . Think when he joined us he was a very good striker for this level , now with his goals and assists he is going finish not far off Shankland levels . The boys conditioning , attitude and commitment are first class but Ayr United also helped put some lead in his pencil . I hope he gets the move he deserves in the summer .

I would agree with this . Hopefully the boy can add goals to his game in the next season or two . However if we are losing Dipo in the summer we need to find two starting strikers that can both get well into double figures . Mark and Frazer would slip to 3rd and 4rth in the pecking order . As said before the money we pull in for Dipo should finance three decent players for our level on two year contracts . That's before we even start on our seasons budget .

Our form against the bottom three clubs is pretty consistent. Unbeaten in 11 games .

I have a feeling our increased league prize money and probably our fee for Dipo will be enough to up grade our squad by five or so starters . Mullin probably will be off and that could add two or three to the pool . So the project will move on and gather momentum .

Facts are simply this : Thistlle and Dundee have better players than us ,probably due to having bigger budgets . We still have too many L1 caliber players still on board . Christmas window was poor losing Chalmers and sinking all our cash on Mullin only for him to get crippled the next week or so . This group won't win at Thistle so our placing will come down to Morton at home . So for me it's 4th or 5th . Then the re grouping for next season begins . Disappointing ,but time to man up and push on ....

Think your correct here , the prize and gate share money from a semi final appearance could bank role us for the next season or so . Could even bring forward our Premiership return . Falkirk are going well just now , Pars game aside . Ayr have dominated over everyone in the division when on duty in L1 , only to run into a brick wall when in the Championship . Falkirk will find the power and pace difficult to deal with . Then there is the Championship's number one centre forward to contain , the idea that any L1 centre half is going to come out on top when none of the one`s in the Championship can is a bit fanciful . Plenty of Ayr fans on here trying cover their basses on here as they still haven't figured out what they are actually watching yet . Hoofball this and wingers that . Neither will be on shop on Monday , a compact 442 with a right and left half supporting our full backs and strikers . Falkirk have chance of course they do , they need to start fast to get in front and then maybe.. The long game belongs to us though .

This in a nutshell. We don't have the players to play the way Rovers do. So we'll fight and battle in every game . Some well win some we won't. We're asking a lot of Dipo in his first full-time season in a few years. The guy is knackered. We are in the Continuous Improvement phase of our development plan , probably not ready for a title challenge, our two centre backs going out at the same time in December probably killed us in terms of the title . However the playoffs are a realistic goal as is a Scottish Cup semi final . Achieve that and our summer transfer kitty might just be topped up from the pools win a semi final would be . As long as we continue to move forward Bully will be as safe as houses and rightly so .

I wouldn't expect us to budget on the expectation of reaching the semi final though I would and do expect us to use some of the £200k we have thus far banked from our cup run . Thus giving us the best possible chance of reaching that semi final . If you are correct and the club won't spend then it is very likely that we'll go out of the cup at Falkirk and slip out the play off slots in the league

We are one game away from bagging £500k potentially. We surely should adjust the plan slightly and get some quality leaders in that are hopefully not cup tied .

There is no reason why we can't throw say £40k at it and bring in two loans or free agents until the end of the season. We will have minimum £200k earnings from the cup run thus far . Its a no brainer..
