Your correct again , 433 allows Daire and Josh to run at their flanks and if Jml is central to carry the ball there . The chaos would hopefully give Dipo plenty of space . However in a 442 can Bryden take some of the workload of Dipo and free him up a bit more , also can Bryden get amongst the goals . This would be the game to find out . Either way we win this game 3-0 . They must be hurting after last Friday .

It Certainly sounds like we'll be looking for a new centre forward as we won't stop Dipo trebling his wages by turning down a club in England again . If we bank enough money on this deal to get 3 or 4 proven operators in it would take the sting out of it somewhat. The club is in a different place completely these days .

You are correct , if we bow out against Elgin we get £71k ,a win gets us £126k minimum. The delta would get us a player or two for next season....

McGinty is the corner stone and heartbeat of this team . The club captain deserves a bit more respect from one or two of the trolls on here . The side can play a bit but also can dig in when things aren't going to plan or the weather is poor . Its February and we're still in the fight , this is uncharted waters for Ayr United ! People should be enjoying the journey not taking cheap shots at our own guys and especially not the skipper .

A massive three games coming up : Queens away followed by Elgin then Thistle at home . Doesn't get much better than that . I'd urge everyone who can, to turn off the telly on Friday and get up to Larbert . It may well be one of those "were you there" nights ! I think the above is about correct. As others have said I think our best case scenario is Ayr uping our contributions to Mullins wages and him being allowed to play for us in the cup , with the exception of any tie against Livingston. This would still leave us some funds to get a couple in the door .

Neither is Logan , it would probably change our formation to a rigid 442 and a 14 game arm wrestle until the end of the season .

If we end up losing both Mullin and Chalmers then a goal scoring partner for Dipo is a must . Also the left side of the team needs attention already .

It has to be sorted out as soon as possible because if he goes back to Livi then we will be looking at other targets who may not be still be available late on Tuesday .

Ross County gave him huge money to get him away from Livingston in the first place, so the bar has been set pretty high for a number of years . This conundrum we find ourself's in will be repeated again and again moving forward . We are a victim of our own success to an extent , if we were out the cup and sitting mid table this conversation wouldn't be taking place. We are going to have to realise that as we grow as a club these are the numbers we will have to pay to maintain our position and to push forward . On Livingston they are punching above their weight to even be in the Premiership, they are a Diddy club , Meadowbank Thitle in a flash suit . They have however seized their opportunity and as a result have 5,000 Hearts fans arriving shortly for a game . That's big bucks and it's where we aspire to be .

I'm thinking the idea of a loan is off the table . Livingston see an opportunity here , Josh will have a little south of £30,000 left on his contract and they know he's doing well for us , so they want us to pick that up . Issue is that £30k is our kitty for new players in the window . So it's get Josh in permanently and maybe one other or three or four new players . Tough one . I'd be going all out to get Josh, a goal scoring winger that can also make goals . Even if we get him the next issue is keeping him as the usual suspects will be turning up in May looking to sign him . So a two or three year contact should be incorporated into any deal with Livingston. Easier said than done I know .

Mullin can only play with us or Livi this season . But come May there will be plenty of clubs sniffing around . Get him in now on a two or three year contract . It's a no brainer ..
