  1. Ah, back to 'right wing Labour on migration' again, when their policy is to tackle criminal gangs exploiting vulnerable people not actually attacking the vulnerable themselves, but rather looking to also ensure that asylum seekers in the UK have proper access to equal pay, rights, and the chance to be reunited with family members. That includes doing a deal with the EU to take a quota of asylum seekers to the UK. In other words some distance from send them to Rwanda where Sunak's own family have shady deals going in setting up detention centres
  2. Don't recall teachers getting a 10% pay rise...somewhere closer to 7. To continue with a Council Tax freeze after increasing public sector wages, and at a time when Councils were expecting an 8-10% increase in CT, and then blame the forthcoming cuts to public services on WM cutting NI by 2% is again extraordinary politics even for the SNP
  3. Current 1. Braverman 2. Rees Mogg 3. Sunak 4. Shapes 5. Stephen Flynn
  4. The irony is still lost on Braverman that her own blue rinse brigade wouldn't actually vote for her in a leadership contest due to her ethnicity.
  5. For 'embarrassing' check under Yousaf's 'running' of Scotland so far.
  6. Yousaf is certainly having some week: Doesn't 'know' when the Scot govt were asked to hand over WhatsApp messages (or indeed which ones were deleted) Is all for a demo on Remembrance weekend Hands 750k of public money to a group which backs Hamas Is still in knots over the Council Tax Freeze and 2nd Homes Defends his Health Secretary racking up an 11K bill on his I-pad with public money. What's he going to do next for an encore?
  7. For morally bankrupt think you would have to look at most Tory politicians first.
  8. With their vote going up everywhere? How does that work?
  9. May well be a return to 'different' voting intentions for WM and Holyrood. However, if Labour do 'win' the WM election in Scotland, where does that leave the SNP's intentions to make the next Holyrood election a de-facto Ref? (As they would have lost momentum from the WM election by then)
  10. Agree that a Council Tax freeze (which is a sop to the middle class) is a panicked policy and doesn't look good when Councils are trying to find cash to pay their workers. As far as a defacto Ref at Holyrood goes..let's say the SNP win that election, most seats, but on say, 40% of the vote..how does that work? Around 60% will have voted for parties which stood on a No ticket...so it would be difficult to claim that 'most seats' simply makes Scotland Independent. It's back to a sustained majority support, which at the moment looks some way off.
  11. Then how would you win a Ref after putting the Tories into govt (and keeping Lab and Lib Dems out) in that scenario? The only 'route' now I reckon is sustained polls reaching 55-60% and probably a Lab govt agreeing on that basis (a Tory govt never will), but...depending on what Labs eventual Devolution offer is, makes getting to 55-60% less likely anyway.
  12. Good point about 'sustained' support being more in the 55% plus sector. Yes supporters often argue that you can't put an arbitrary figure on what sustained support should be..'why 55, why 60' etc, but in fairness it is the one factor that even the more ardent Tories would find hard to ignore. Setting parameters of 29 seats or a de facto Ref at Holyrood always enable Westminster to simply say 'No'. However, back to Yousaf..an inspiring enough figure to get those 29 seats or win at Holyrood?..Don't think so.
  13. The 'alternate reality', pre-financial scandal meltdown, when it was touted that 50% was more than possible, and in that event, Independence negotiations would begin. At the time (again pre-financial shenanigans), Humza was also being floated as a likely replacement for NS As far as what will he do 'if' they win 29 plus seats and Westminster says 'no', it just rolls on to the next Hollyrood election doesn't it..and then presumably to the next GE after that. The question with the latest 'strategy' is..why is Holyrood regarded as a 'de-facto' Ref, but the GE isn't? Neither of course are.
  14. Weren't we told a few months ago that Humza was the man to see the SNP 'comfortably' passing 50% of the vote at the GE?
  15. This weekend is certainly massive in the grand scheme of things..if neither Utd or County win away at Livi and Well (2 draws are fine), and Killie do win..it 'should' take Killie out of the equation of finishing 12th as it would be: Killie 37 Saints 36 County 34 Utd 32. To finish last from there Killie would need to lose to both Utd and County and Utd would have to also win away to Well. Pretty much 1 point required from last 2 games v Utd and County to guarantee at least 11th. Can't see Utd winning at Well, Killie losing to both Utd and County and Saints beating Livi all happening. However whatever the results are this weekend will go a long way to deciding it.
  16. The SNP a 'socialist' alternative ...That's Plenty.
  17. Her 'achievements' in 8 years.. Baby boxes.... Er, that's about it.
  18. Still reckon Well and County for bottom 2 at the moment
