  1. Driving up for this one. Any advice on best parking?
  2. Couldn’t agree more. The thought of us going the way of every other Scottish Club and binning managers due to unrealistic expectations scares me. We have no divine right to be a Championship Club and could reasonably argue we have overachieved in being so. Recruitment and the squad depth last summer was a massive issue and we are still very thin on the ground in that regard. Half a season of terrific football (first half of last year) does not make us a Championship outfit. In truth since then we have struggled to cope with the physical demands of the league which is hardly surprising given the age and profile of our squad. We still look incredibly lightweight. Certainly willing to give CD time to see what we look like next season whatever league we are playing in and I don’t buy in to the idea that relegation would be the disaster that some are making it out to be.
  3. You’d like to think so but there was little evidence of that cornered animal at Hampden last week in arguably our biggest game of the season. Exceptionally worried about our attitude and mindset. Hopefully the fact that it’s no longer in our hands releases the shackles and we go for it. Another meek surrender and I fear it’s League 1 for us.
  4. As the week goes on getting more and more nervous about this one, especially on the back of the two worst performances we’ve had since Callum Davidson was appointed. Badly missing Dom Thomas and we seem to have gone back to the Veldman method of defending crosses. Hoping it’s just my natural QP pessimism kicking in but seriously have the fear for this. The prospect of dropping below ICT in the table before hitting the road to Dunfermline, who seem on a good run, followed by an Arbroath side who will have no pressure on them as they’ll already be down, does not sit well with me. Top that off with a final game against Airdrie who we NEVER beat. For me Saturday is massive and a must win.
  5. Bit odd = the norm these days. We’re getting used to it.
  6. Next two weeks will have a massive bearing on the relegation play off place. With ICT likely to beat Arbroath and us playing United the gap could be 1 point going into the game at Hampden the following week. Could see us sitting 9th with an away trip to Dunfermline (the form team) the following week. Had pretty much resigned myself to League 1 towards the end of the Veldman era, but we are made of sterner stuff now. At least I thought so until Morton brushed us aside on Saturday. Ayr were very poor the other week when we beat them but then turned over Airdrie. Honestly no idea what the final positions will be but I fancy more twists and turns before the end. Strap yourselves in!!
  7. Strange to post this anywhere other than the ugly sisters’ threads given the media don’t give a flying **** about any other club and never report on any of them.
  8. Point a piece probably fair. Airdrie with more possession and territory but we always carried a threat on the counter. Was convinced Wilson’s header was in before the post got in the way. 5-9 separated by 2 points - it’s going to be a fun run in with multiple twists. Can’t wait……….
  9. Difficult to judge us on Tuesday as Arbroath were absolutely terrible. Terrific result for Airdrie means both teams should be going into this one on a high. Hard to call and really this could be anything. If we can keep it tight ( and we are looking much more solid) we certainly have enough to cause Airdrie some problems. Queen’s to edge it 2-1, but a draw wouldn’t be a disaster.
  10. Having missed the game earlier in the season, this will be my first trip to tannadice. Travelling in hope more than expectation, although we have tightened up significantly. Saturday v Morton was a bit of a wake up call that we are not out of the woods yet and have much work to do. Have to attend on the basis that I need to tick this ground off the list and I fully expect them to get promoted and it could be some time before we are back there. A sneaky point would make the £25 almost bearable.
  11. Many thanks for bigging this up. Saturday afternoon now guaranteed to be a turgid affair. Having said that I’ll gladly accept if we can finally get the Morton monkey off our backs.
  12. Disappointingly for us we get that dreadful Hampden view whether we stay up or not……..
  13. Ps - I reserve the right to moan about it next season at the time
  14. Given our 4 month run without winning a game I’d happily welcome Livi away.
  15. Let’s confirm our own league status before we start that nonsense
