  1. Thankfully for Joe nobody currently at East Fife has done anything questionable or classless in the past.... ***Cough*** Dick Campbell sing song ***Cough***
  2. Both previous games they won, the Stranraer players ran directly to our fans including their keeper In the first match at Stairs running the length of the pitch to do so and give a "get it up ye's" to us. Cutely edited out the highlights but the SPFL going two footed with it In it's original form is quite hilarious and makes the winner even sweeter in my opinion.
  3. This is it for me, no matter where he catches him, head or arm, the fact he is off the ground with his foot so high and outstretched means he is not in control and therefor dangerous. Looking at the referee's position it's perhaps difficult for him to see but that's what those other folks with the flags are there for.
  4. Scott Agnew has contradicted himself in some interviews, either week to week or in the same one as was the case yesterday. "The players gave me everything" but also "they're not doing enough". After the Dumbarton victory he very much suggested he thought safety was theirs, yesterday "we have been in a fight for months". It could be the pressure or just inexperience in this position but at what point does he look and accept that he is perhaps culpable for most of the club's current issues on the park. Before it was referees he blamed, now it's his players. Tactically he just seems well short of the required standard. That said I would give you more chance of staying up against EK or whoever than Bonnyrigg but would stop short of putting any sort of money on it at the same time.
  5. Nothing to celebrate yet, far from it. A thoroughly deserved win in the end after it seemed they were going to sneak away with a draw that they were setting their stall out to get from very early in the second half. Horrific conditions clearly but in the half both teams had wind advatage we used it far better in creating chances and it did feel like a matter of time before we scored albeit I did fear we had passed up another chance at clawing off bottom. Another big match were the players have delivered. Four more of them to come...
  6. It will be more than likely due to the auditors not filing this rather than the club directly. Given the registered address is the auditors, any notices of late filing would have went to them. Serious questions should be asked of them, although it is a very simple fix. I would say an additional step at our side going forward would also negate any future instances and If it were my company I'd be seeking reimbursement or reduction on future fees as a result. Edited to add : it has been asked on the owners forum and it was indeed a hold up at the Accountants and was resolved yesterday with no ongoing risk to the club.
  7. The fact that they've been rotten for so long is part of my point. For the best chance of change and improvement ripping the plaster off far earlier than now with just 6 matches left made more sense? Desperate times I suppose, but Is a Lee Currie or similar going to get more our of a McGachie or Osadolor? I cant see it, but also happy for the possible benefits for Clyde.
  8. Unless they have someone lined up and ready to go this could be the worst decision of any team in the league this season, and yes I am including the madness that was Clyde FC last summer. With Stranraer away this weekend and only 2 training sessions ahead of it, how much is likely going to change in time to make an impact. Ian McCall had time to evaluate, a transfer window and made it count (so far at least). At best it's a "Hail Mary" play, at worst resignation and planning for Lowland League. It's just improbable to see a manager with enough experience and know-how to accept the job there at this stage of the season and with them in freefall.
  9. We won at a ground/pitch that the undefeated and runaway league one leaders were unable to navigate in the Scottish Cup not too long ago. That in itself isn't enough to start planning for life next season in League Two but it did answer the long held question as to whether this squad could win a match that required less technical ability and more dig/fight to see it done. It will likely be required again before May.
  10. Perhaps early as there is little chance of the pitch being in any condition to play on regardless of forecast today. Given the images of the pitch from their match with Stenny, it's quite possible there is pooled water that no groundsman is shifting in time.
  11. Our additional income (from a benefactor) will be in the accounts for this season. The figures you are addressing are from the season ending 2022-23 which was before this "investment" was secured.
  12. Given that he is signed with a club, even in the unlikely event we tried to re-sign him, it would be utterly pointless as he couldn't play (or even be registered). He would need to have been a free agent before the end of the January transfer window to be signed now.
  13. We can still sign unattached players along with our last remaining loan slot. There is the possibility that a deal or more has concluded and just not yet announced.
  14. We still have more than enough winnable games at home against Elgin(1 point away from home all season), Forfar and Stranraer and also the latter 2 away which are very winnable. Elgin's home form is the reason they are not cut adrift below us. Tuesday night was poor, but it is "only" 7 points and there has been more than enough improvement since McCall came in that we can still get out of this mess. Previously after a defeat I expected only a negative response, I don't feel that as prominently now. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a result on Saturday.
  15. It's almost like you want us to go down. Strange individual.
