  1. The "independence" coalition ends as the party within it who really don't care about independence finally GTF. The "environmental" party with an amazing record... of failure on environmental policy. (The SNP are complicit in that, in fairness) Having met a one of their MSPs (a certain Ginger) personally he's an obvious weirdo, the rest not much different. Their press conference on the way out also strikes me less as "we are upset because we can't do what's right for Scotland anymore" and more "we are upset because we are an irrelevance again." Good riddance, "Greens".
  2. For me, Must Keep Strapp - Leagues above Waters Oakley - Crawford - Crucial player. Amazing on his day O'Connor - DO'C + Baird is our best defensive pairing, and one of the best in the league. Blues - Solid midfield player. Should Keep Muirhead - One of the most important players on the side, but prone to losing confidence. If we lose Quitongo/McGrattan/Garrity, we'll need him. Garrity - Taking a jump up from Annan and straight into the first team isn't exactly an easy task, but he's made it look so. He's been really good so far. Maybe Keep Power - Even if he doesn't have another year left as a starting player, he could be a handy player for 60mins or coming on late to control the midfield. Gillespie - Similar to Power. Quitongo - Not had his best year ever, injuries and all, but still knows how to take on a defense. I can see him leaving but I'd like him to stay. McGrattan - A really good player last season, he's been a bit underwhelming for me in his appearances this term. I would like to see him stay, but I think his best move may be to depart, and I dont think it'd do a terrible amihnt of damage to us if he did. MacDonald - On his day, a really good goalkeeper. Seemed to peak up at Ibrox and downhill from there. If a replacement at a similar level can be found, I'd take him over MacDonald. Show the door Broadfoot - Broadfoot has been better than I think anyone anticipated this season, but the amount of points he's cost us - most comically at Raith at the start of the season - leaves me wanting a replacement. I wouldn't be entirely against retaining him in a coaching (or even player-coach for the sake of backup) role. He's experienced and knows the game. French - An OK defender, but he's frustrating to watch and can't attack for his life - which can leave us too focused on the left side when going forward. Harkness - Is he even still with us? Unfortunate to pick up an injury almost instantly after joining, to end your entire season (some injury that must have been..), but I wouldn't bring him back in (if he's fit) solely because we need a higher quality of right-back.
  3. Christie, Robertson and Gilmour/McTominay have been brilliant on that left side - Christie especially.
  4. The shorts ruin the Italy/Germany kits and, as someone had said on twitter, the Belgium kit has gone full Tintin.
  5. 1-0 Hearts/m'well/Partick already thanks to the local rag
  6. And now we've seen the right type of red card when it won't be overturned. Bizzare.
  7. What's the point in VAR if they aren't allowed to call out such an obvious error because it's the wrong type of red card?
  8. Main worry is that, in the Tannadice (3-2) game, the United defense folded largely because of Oakley's presence and strength up top. If he's not on (likely to be the case), it relies on Jai or Robbie, neither of whom are up to Oakley's level in that sense - Jai is good at it, but can't finish to save himself. On the flipside, United have been largely clueless against us this season, but as the last game proved, still a threat. Hard one to call.
  9. Well, it's not 2-0 Raith so it's a better start than last time.
  10. Top 16 = 1st to 16th (4th Championship). You can't get higher than that. Technically.
  11. I dream that you'd just shut it and give us all peace. Alas, here we are.
  12. That's the point. Morton should be a top-16 club. That means Premiership + Top-Championship. We aren't a top 16 club and haven't even finished there since 2016/17, when we reached the playoffs. Our current standing doesn't count, no. For a fan-owned club with only c. 1,000 members, being at the top end of the championship - possibly into the premiership - is relatively ambitious, considering the finances (or lack of) involved. The reason they haven't "moved it up 3 places" is because we can't guarantee ourselves as a regular premiership side - it's highly unlikely. If we go up, squad depth and quality will be a problem, without a doubt. Going up incrementally sounds like a good idea to a deaf man who can't hear it. If we finish 2nd next year then that jumps ahead of the game, and if it's 4th place then you're set back a year. Also, it's just a bit stupid. You can reckon all you want but it doesn't make it true, not in the slightest. In case you've forgot "Top 16" includes the premiership. That means the board wants to be near - if not in - the league above. It's not reasonable to say "we want to be in the premiership" because it's not a particularly easy target to meet and, well, we don't have a very good record in that department recently. TL:DR -:
