  1. Reasonably confident that Barry will fire us up to give Celtic more of a game at Pittodrie this season. We may, ultimately, not win but the hoops will not have it all their own way. I reckon with Hart in goal that we'll score so Celtic will have to score one more. Not as banker an away as some may think.
  2. In short I would say yes. However would we pursue or are there other players higher up our pursuit list? Again I would, probably, say yes to other players higher up our pursuit list and that Scales may end up down south in the lower leagues.
  3. 1 - ****, too much financial power over rest. 2 - ****, still more financial power than rest. 3 - Dons, Oor Barry knows what he is doing. 4 - Hibs, appear to be a bit more settled. 5 - Hearts, not convinced with their manager or recent lack of recruitment. 6 - Motherwell, Kettlewell doing a decent job. 7 - St Mirren, Robinson also doing a decent job. 8 - St Johnstone, McLean may surprise a few. 9 - Kilmarnock, home form will prevent relegation but away form will still be shite. 10 - Dundee, the Doc has enough about him to survive. 11 - Ross County, Malky will just do enough, again. 12 - Livingston, time for relegation me thinks. Dons will win easily in 5th August opener, setting the trend.
  4. 9-0 opening gambit hasn't happened too often for the Dons, even against similar teams or low class Euro opposition. Very encouraging start, which will hopefully continue against Broch, Charlton and Preston.
  5. Reading some of the statements on this thread which, if only half true, would suggest that Hughes is too old school for the modern game and therefore practically unemployable. He could perhaps earn a gig as a younger manager's assistant but would his ego allow that to happen?
  6. I know that I am old fashioned but TV and European schedules these days are "developing " our game in the wrong direction. 3pm on a Saturday has always felt right and waiting until the latter part of October to experience it at Pittodrie is just wrong.
  7. Dons fan in peace. Robinson can surely do better than Main with his network of contacts in England etc. Curtis was a donkey up north and did next to hee haw. Appreciate he may have had the odd good game but you can, and should, do better.
  8. Cannae remember Shinnie having grey hair when on loan.
  9. Williams will do just fine. Good to see him in at start of pre-season training as opposed to the last day of the window.
  10. Reading various outlets I would say yes + there is a chance we may sign Williams on loan from Liverpool.
  11. Perhaps Goodwin can resolve the matter and sign him for United.
