Premiership Team of the Season

That's pretty much what I'd have as well, maybe a couple others you could argue for but overall a good 11. -

Mitov, Sidibeh, Phillips, Kimpioka, Franczak, Sinclair, Sprangler and maybe Keltjens. Of the youths I'd be keeping Stevens, Parker and Ferguson as either backup or loans out to a higher division. So, that's a whole new defence and midfield. Suppose this summer wil be fun. -

You'll be lucky to get a single half with a different system. If this system is successful don't be suprised to see him not stick to it unless absolutely necessary (injuries etc). This system will have been forced on him anyway because of injuries which quite literally don't allow him to stick with his darling baby system. -

With how unfit the squad seem to be this far in the season, what did the management staff do in the last pre-season? The January signings I can understand for separate reasons (joining from part-time football, seasons over etc) but the squad that was with us from the summer shouldn't be as unfit as they are in April. Hopefully next pre-seasons aim is to sort this issue in the squad. -

Craig Hepburn new contract until 2027. Good sign, hopefully means the club are at least extending youth player contracts, would like to see Taylor Steven get one. -
Hibs v St.Johnstone
Muirton Saint replied to Lyle Lanley's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I reckon he'll be given next season to see what he can do with his own squad. Would hope they have targets in mind for whatever division we happen to be in. We'll probably need a decent part of a new squad. Couple cbs, fbs/wbs, wingers and cms. Only thing I don't see us doing much with is attack, perhaps one or two at most. -
Hibs v St.Johnstone

Happy with the result, Sidibeh getting his goal and Gallacher finally putting one in after how many decent chances he's had. That's about the only positives. We were poor the whole game and very undeserving of a good result. -

I'm actually done with this team. Unless their names Kimpioka or Sidibeh I can't be arsed with them. -

Get Kimpioka and Carey on, some more speed up top and some actual creativity from midfield. -

Against Dundee it looked a back 4 with Gallacher firmly planted in midfield, I fear one cross and a bit of pace from Hibs will kill us with that cb partnership. -

The fact we created some decent chances against a team sitting back like Dundee were was pretty good. I agree with Carey over Gallagher, some creativity from midfield to make up for the other three. Understand what you mean with Levein overthinking after a positive result, hopefully he doesn't change too much. Desperately need to cut out these little defensive mistakes that result in us conceding. -

Naturally, Kimpioka will start. I believe that Sidibeh is the more exciting player, but Kimpioka is maybe more consistent. I like the idea of starting Kimpioka, Clark and Sidibeh in a three. Either drop Gallacher and let Kimpioka run wide on the left, or drop one of Smith or Kucheriavyi for the same. A 433/343? -

When the plan is to just lump it forward and pray that Sidibeh/Kimpioka latch onto it, or the defender makes a mistake not many goals will come, especially when the balls being played aren't especially great. -

He's good at pressing the ball and getting it past 2 or 3 guys at once. I think if he had better passers around him he would excel. But because of the players around him he usually holds the ball too long, or miss-hits his passes which lead to it either out of play or back with the other team. -

Sprangler out for 2-6 weeks, Considine stopped training yesterday after feeling something with his groin. Levein hopeful of having Olufunwa back for Dundee. Drey Wright running now, soon be involved with team training. -

Aye that's fair, I'd guess it was just meant as some sort of morale booster to the squad but came off the wrong way. He should probably stick to tweeting after good results. -

This is how I've been recently. Slowly going to less as the games have went on as well. Meh, he can't really talk down about the squad, especially in a relegation battle. Definitely. The squad just feels like its limping from one week to the next with no direction other than lump it up and hope Kimpioka/Sidibeh/Clark do something. Drastic changes are needed. I hope the management team/board (whoever it is) are able to be successful and I'll back them to until they are asked to leave. -

Yeah, especially after how well* he was performing to start this season. Nothing against the guy for wanting to prolong his career at the top level. *well in comparison to everyone else. -

Would like Taylor Steven to stay, as well as Phillips. Maybe Carey but that's it. -

I imagine he'll recognise he hadn't made much of an impact lately as well and just took it on the chin. Bit of rest for him as well even if he doesn't feel he needs it. -
St Johnstone v Livingston - 02/03/24
Muirton Saint replied to LiviLion's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Was a poor game all round. Was suprised when we equalised and Livi were still treating like it was 1-0 to them. Must say, the block that Keltjens made somepoint in the 2nd(?) half impressed me. Feel we've got a decent rb in him and could do with a better attacking option ahead of him. Gordon on the other hand, must have went down twice with a head knock which both took out our own player. He's reckless, and he's at an age where it can't be inexperience as an excuse, he has somewhere near 200 professional games for christ sake. If it didn't mean our starting cbs were McGowan and Considine I would have him dropped.
