Gaza war: Israeli tank fire kills five soldiers in north Gaza, military says - BBC News
Wonder how they'll manage to blame this on Hamas,
Israel's military says five soldiers have been killed by Israeli tank fire in northern Gaza, in one of the deadliest incidents of its kind since the war against Hamas began in October.
An initial probe found that two tanks fired at a building in Jabalia refugee camp where the troops had gathered.
Troops went back into the area this week after previously pulling out, saying Hamas had regrouped there.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled the fighting and bombardment.
Both the Israeli military and Hamas's military wing said on Wednesday that battles in Jabalia camp and the surrounding town of Jabalia were intensifying.

Most of the year we moan about zoomers driving around with their fog lights on unnecessarily. Typical that today - with fog reducing visibility to 50 yds, there's loads of folk hammering around with no lights at all.
The car exec that came up with automatic running lights, that only put lights on at the front of the car rather than sensibly at both front and the back - Come the revolution against the wall, and he will be blindfolded so he has no way of seeing what about to hit into him.

I think St Mirren might draw KFC Coleslaw in our Conference League qualifier. Pretty sure they’re in it this year. Moldovan mob I think.
That could be a zinger of a tie.

It’s just crazy to me this complete lack of self-awareness that exists nowadays. Then, by saying that, I think “ok boomer”.
Damned if you do…
If I was angrier I would scream 'Spatial Awareness' about a dozen times every time I left home.
To the people that decide to stop and chat in group just next to the bus stop, their chatting circle now completely blocking the pavement,
To the group walking 5 a breast down the pavement towards you expecting you to walk in the gutter,
To the folk that gather round doors of trains and buses trying to get on and blocking you from getting off
To the idiots that would rather weave down the pavement staring at their phone rather than looking where they are going
To the clowns that inflict their noise on buses, trains and open spaces as they don't believe in earphones for their private noise in public spaces
Don't start me on the ways others in pubs annoy.
And everyone else that gets in the way of just quietly getting from A to B and doing my thing without disturbing others or being disturbed.,
Please learn SPATIAL AWARENESS.

Euthanasia not being legal on this shithole island*.
My wife's nana (aye, whatever) has had dementia for about 5 years now. It was about 3 years ago she forgot who we all were and just over a year ago her husband couldn't manage anymore and she was placed in a home. A combination of malnutrition and a mass (which we assume is cancer) has resulted in her losing all her weight and being a walking skeleton. Until last Monday when she became bedridden and non responsive. She's been on a driver all week and how she's still here is absolutely remarkable. She's literally smelling of death now as well. How anyone can see this situation and disagree with euthanasia absolutely baffles and enrages me.
Putting aside religious bullshit, how can anyone be against this?
* Isle of Man excluded as they had the sense to legalise it.
It is appalling that in a 'civilised' society that would not allow or want you to keep a pet in such pain and suffering expects you to maintain truly loved human beings. I have a relative now in a home due to dementia, my mother does not want me to visit but maintain my memories of them, and ever time she talks of her visits I know it is killing her seeing our relative like that.
And all maintained due to various sky-fairy beliefs mostly.

This thread is created to check in with your fellow P&Bers about anything you’ve done which you feel is it risk of being in Karen territory. Past history suggests that the community will be kind, but honest in appraising your behaviour.
I’ll start.
Am I a Karen because I asked two folk to sit down at a gig?
That sentence in itself doesn’t look great. But for context, they were the only ones standing up in this seating section and they blocked the view of the entire stage. Plus, two tickets cost us just under £200.
Depends,
Did you reasonably request, explaining the views of others were being affected and asked for them to consider others.
Or did you you start filming them, as you screamed at them they were destroying your life whilst threatening to call to the Police, Security, the PM , your dad and a lawyer to sue for breaching your civil rights and causing you mental torture.
Being a Karen is not the situation it is the method of dealing with the situation.

Can't remember the last time I had a coffee, would be 2 or 3 years. Overpriced and overrated.
Tea I drink 2 or 3 times a month. OH loves coffee and when I sometimes go into Costa with her have a tea when not have a fruit cooler.
At work a hot drink is Bovril or Cup-a-soup.

I find the higher up the ladder you go the shiter the food.
For example
Jeanfield Swifts pies- £2.00. Lovely
Scotland match pies- £3.50. Shite.
I have ranted about this before.
A ground with 50,000 selling 25,000 pies. If they buying 25,000 pies the discounts for economy of scale must make these incredibly cheap to buy.
I was at Elgin on Sat and a 2 pies & bovril was wasn't less than £7. About 1,000 folk there better quality of pie and they would have had to buy a lot less so would have cost them more.
Same at Banks O Dee, Cove and elsewhere I been recently.
Food at the bigger games is a rip off.

Time to merge this thread with the Tory one.
10 hours ago, BFTD said:The Tory one's handy for pointing out the evil they do now, and the even more abhorrent things they're chomping at the bit to do in the future.
Labour haven't had the chance yet, but give them time. They'll get pretty desperate to sate the public's bloodlust in 2029, with Patel/Braverman/Badenoch promising lynchings in the street for being unBRITTISH!
Could rename the threads,
Change the Tory one to - Government Arseholes
Change the Labour one to - Shadow Scumbags,
Then when the GE happens all the characters move around but where the grifters and chancers in power are stays the same and where the wannabes willing to say and change anything to get into power are.
All as interchangeable as everything else about the lot of them.

Cheers guys.
I reckon I've thought there'd be some sort of humane understanding from the work and that's been an error on my part.
I did fire them an email stating my case why the offer of 1 week was a bit short but with the time it'll take and with the mourning after I reckon I'll need a sick line anyway.I'll sort it out.
Sadly HR are there for the company not you. If they stick to the rules it never the time we need.
If you have a decent boss or find someone that works in HR that has soul rather than enjoys being an arsehole they will do what they can for you, finding that is the problem.
If the system lets you get paid sick use it for your benefit and good luck with everything.

Why can't people realise that on public transport, if you eat a meal you are affecting others either by noise or smell.
Was on a flight the other day and the lad next to me brought a silver takeaway tray on with him, asked the stewardess for a fork, opened it and ate what proved to be a chinese rice thing that he had obviously prepared at home. He had just sat in the airport for at least an hour probably but decided to open and eat it on a cramped space on what was a 1 hour 5 minute flight!
Should have asked to borrow fork, picked your nose with it and then returned fork covered in boogies.
Only way is to out manky the manky sometimes.
