I'm pretty sure I've never won a cup. I would normally try to find a spurious reason to ban my opponent from the site, but given Slippery's reputation for violence I'll not risk it on this occasion.

although clearly Meadow is my team,

I support Aston Villa as Villa Park was the first ground in England i ever went to ( 1979 ), and as my dad has been a lifelong Clyde man from Rutherglen and I have been to watch Clyde as far back as the Craig brown manager and Pat Nevin being a teenager days and seen them at every ground they've called home since could it be a possible Villa Bully Wee double?

How 'day tickets' on buses in the UK are only valid up to midnight, not 24hrs from the time of purchase, as it is in other European countries.

Stagecoach day tickets in NE run from 00.00 to 04.00, 28 hours

The weekly tickets run from 00.00 the day they are activated till 04.00 the morning after your 7 days are up.

Some rural ones only run till 03.00, I'll assume that is when the services end.

£900 to look after a rabbit overnight? No wonder its not well if they're feeding it wonga.

Illustration of a hand holding out a £50 note to rabbit that seems to be nibbling it, against pink background

I could look after it and have it ready for proper use in 75-90mins,

Will only charge you £45.00, do you want it back with boiled or roast potatoes and veg?

Hunt describing Wragg as ‘courageous’ really is deflection that the MSM are only to happy to run with.

Aye, he only fessed up after the Times doorstepped him about it.

Courageous - clueless, self-serving clown that has completely fucked up would be my description,

Or a word that rhymes with Hunt.

I understand the frustration but military intervention, no matter what direction it comes from, invariably leads to even more death and destruction.

Diplomacy is the antidote to militarism and that's where the failure lies. As TxRover points out above, the weapons flow has been key. The way I see it, its not so much "Biden not standing up to Netanyahu/Israel", but more so Biden being a fanatical facilitator of the long-standing arrangements between US government and US weapons manufacturers.

We had $4B sent to Israel just a couple of Fridays ago by Biden's administration then we got this headline on Monday there and it wasn't an April Fool's:

There is so much profit being made from all this misery.

And so much paid by the US tax payer,

How much aid does the US give to Israel? (usafacts.org)

The United States committed over $3.3 billion in foreign assistance to Israel in 2022, the most recent year for which data exists.[1] About $8.8 million of that went toward the country's economy, while 99.7% of the aid went to the Israeli military.

They cannot fund their schools or hospitals but they can pretend to hand money to Israel when in fact it going direct to their own arms industry paying nice share dividends to the already rich to make weapons to kill folk.

    God Bless America.

  6. No issue with a minutes silence / applause before any game for someone connected with the club, even a fan.

Remembrance has been a pain with the nonsense and getting it back to a minutes silence would be better. The other royal deaths and disasters/tragedies just give us a break. (What Manchester United do to remember Munich, Rangers for Ibrox or Liverpool for Hillsborough before a game outside the ground doesn't effect the game and is enough).

The bit that pushes it too far is this insistence your old man wanted the game interrupted for a round of applause in the 58th minute or whenever. Feel sorry for the ones that got really old, the social media posts to promote these will have to include ' As my Grandad was 100 when he pegged out, could the officials ensure plenty of injury time so he could be remembered with a minutes applause in the 100th minute of the game'.

in fact on reading the posts the club doing an announcement at end of season for all fans is best, maybe another at the start of the season for those that go over the summer, a minutes silence for those that passed, and a minutes applause for those that passed after renewing their season ticket, truly greatly appreciated by the club.
