  1. Assuming all the above are fit and on the plane, I think he definitely gives a spot to Liam Cooper and/or Greg Taylor. Clarke has shown and demonstrated how much he values squad morale and loyalty and these two players have made the squads more often than not when available (yet often never played) - no way he cuts them from the tournament squad.

Ralston/Soutter/Hyam/Doig/Ramsey etc have only ever really been in squads as replacements or when others haven't really been available. They will remain in this role now and step up into tournament squad if injuries, but not ahead of Cooper and Taylor.

Up front is different because of our obvious lack of options and quality there. I haven't checked squads but I think Nisbet has been there more often than not. Dykes, Adams and Nisbet I would say were on the plane. I genuinely think there is an option for someone on great form to force their way in, even a new player. Whether that's Doak, Barnes or someone like a Tommy Conway. If someone new starts banging in the goals, I think Shankland and/or Brown should be worried of their place.

  2. Have just watched the goal highlights, good build up from us and a nice finish from McGregor. Ewan Wilson looks to be back useful signing.

If I was a Queens fan, I would be livid with that defending. Not a single player even attempted a tackle at any point in the build up, number 8 (I think) particularly shitebagging.

  3. I have yet to see him play for Luton but did see him a few times for Stoke, he is an intelligent player in terms of making runs, holding ball up and running into channels. Much more of a similar player to Adams than a traditional number 9.

Always trying to smash the ball in from distance and sometimes tries to over complicate things but there is a player in there - no issue with him being in the squad.

Norway at home knocks Denmark off so Poland would still be there by the time tickets are released unless we collapse into the playoffs.

Here's 16% of the capacity each of the stadia

    Berlin - 11,913
    Munich - 11,212
    Dortmund - 10,535
    Stuttgart - 8784
    Gelsenkirchen - 8758
    Frankfurt - 8751
    Hamburg - 8359
    Dusseldorf - 8164
    Cologne - 7972
    Leipzig - 6873

You're on 11 points with 4518 others, 7132 are on 12+ so even assuming every single member above you in points takes their ticket for the euros you'd still be in with a shout of a ticket for 9 of the 10 stadia if you don't increase your points . 13 points will almost certainly guarantee it for you if you manage to get to France or Georgia.

I can't see a huge amount of people on 11 or below getting above you by the time tickets go on sale for the Euros as the allocations for France and Georgia will probably be in the 2-3k range each and a fair chunk of those will be taken by people already above you anyway.

Exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks very much!

  5. I currently have 11 loyalty points, missed out on Spain but planning on going to France which should take me to 13 points.

I know someone did a table somewhere, do we think 13 points would be enough for Euros tickets if/when we qualify?

I'm absolutely kicking myself for missing the friendly vs Poland in March 2022 which I don't think drops off before tickets would be released I assume?

Georgia is an option but having looked at the travel and bank account, it would be a squeeze

    Any advice appreciated

  6. Battle of the two promoted teams.

Would expect nothing less than a hard fought game from Annan who have now started grinding out points with their victory against Edinburgh and draw vs Kelty.

I know they were pumped out the cup at weekend by Peterhead but like we did, I assume it was mostly reserves Annan put out?

These are the games we have to be winning if we are to achieve our main goal of staying in division. We are off to a great start and has been amazing to see team bounce back after Falkirk game.

    2-1 Stirling

  7. Whilst I think there could be truth in this story and the player may be considering us, to me this 'story' reeks of media play by his agent to get noticed by the English FA.

Barnes has had a moan to his agent "Why is Southgate not picking me? What do I need to do etc"

Agent tells him "I'll leak a story to press about you thinking about Scotland and that will force Gareth to make a decision one way or the other for the games next month"

"And if he doesn't select me?"

"Move on and go play for Scotland if they will have you"

  8. I have literally fallen head over heels in love with this Scotland team.

I have been following and going to all the games over the last 25 years or so and feel like I have broke free from an abusive relationship and now experiencing the best fucking shagging of my life with a new bird.

    This. Is. Amazing.

You pay something for the service but it'll be the same as Clyde and Queen of the South who also use Ticketco. It's also comparable fees to all the clubs who are using Fanbase.  To make out it's mismanagement is sensationalist to say the least.

You're just following all the other football clubs providing another option for people to pay. I don't carry cash and, personally, I think the admin generally is easier on cashless payments so should free up people to use their time on other responsibilities. In that respect it is progress.

Ignore him, he has an axe to grind about anything the new board do.

He's not Chairman, he's Football Operations Director, according to the announcement of his appointment.

It's still disappointing not to have heard anything at all from him though.

Not sure on the difference between the role of chairman and football operations director - again something that hasn't really been made clear.

However, when Darren Young wants to sign a player, needs extra wages, or wants our club to negotiate with another club to complete a deal, it's my understanding that Brian Hamilton is that man?

Hypothetically if we were to miss out on a bunch of players so far because there is disconnect in that role, then that would have a big knock on effect to the first team and I assume the managers own level of contentment in his role, hypothetically.

I'm sure everything is fine though. Hopefully get an update soon

  11. Looking at the who's who on the website, I suspect it hasn't been updated since Stuart Brown and co left

    https://www.stirlingalbionfc.co.uk/club-info/

It literally doesn't even have our club board detailed on there. Whilst I appreciate a new website is being developed, surely something as important as that page takes 5 minutes tops to update by the person in the know.

I hate picking up on what must seem like trivial stuff to those at the club, but with no news or updates forthcoming, we are left to speculate.

  12. We did receive an IT update about two months ago from Robert Clubb and we received a community update a few weeks ago from Jim but again nothing from our chairman.....I'm not wholly convinced he is still there.

Even the announcement the other week about Christine Curtis being appointed general manager, the directors quote was from Alasdair Dunn rather than the chairman.

It probably reads that I'm coming across as a Brian Hamilton hater but far from it, I literally know zero about the guy, what he is doing, what he is trying to do, why he is a good fit for the role, what experience he has or anything. It may well be he is doing amazing things at the club, but he should tell us about them now and again.

I am not a supporter that's involved 'behind the scenes' or chat to anyone involved in running the club. Just a regular fan that has no idea what's going on or who is actually running the club.
