  1. The Thrawn Trilogy of books is probably the most likly to be adapted although they are quite dark. They are set 5 years after ROJ, great story, some good villains and recognised as the best books from all the hundreds of Star Wars books there are. Would make a great story and the more I think of it, the more intrigued I am to see what they do.....I'm not writing it off just yet
  2. A few spoilers on some of the storylines from the books that happen after ROJ - for potential film stories:
  3. I will 100% go and see it as I'm a big Star Wars fan but whether it will be any good or not is another thing. I have read a few of the books including the next 5 or so set directly after Return of the Jedi. There is a pretty obvious trilogy of books set after ROJ that they could turn into a film series
  4. Lucas has sold his film company to Disney for $4billion who are making Star Wars episode 7 and will be set in the future. Thoughts?
  5. The thing that gets me is that there are so many great strong supporting characters, that its impossible to give everyone enough screen time - guys like Richard, Van Alden, Capone, Chalky and to a lesser extent Gillian and Rothstein - all superb supporting characters but only turn up once every 3 episodes or so. Frustrating as they are brilliant but better that than trying to fit them all in every episode for a few mins each
  6. What's 'I've never seen star wars' that sounds intriguing?
  7. Also you may want to spoiler some stuff
  8. I agree the latest episode was the worst of season so far but I have enjoyed this season so far, more so for the Dex and Deb stuff, which I like. Last season it had gone off the ball, they needed to do something different with the characters and I like it. Dexter has always gotten slightly more careless as he has gone on through the seasons, its an ongoing thing so I have no problem with him slipping up again. Its a sign of how much everything else is getting to him. I'm only on phone so I'm going into great detail but I pretty much disagree with you. I think this has been best season since 4, but yes the last episode wasn't quite up to scratch
  9. Brock will interfere costing Ryback the match and setting up a Brock vs Ryback feud. Cena will then be fit again and go back to him vs punk
  10. Arrrrgh damn yous, now I don't want to wait until Sunday. Has Claire Danes always been this good an actress? I can't think of much else I remember her in
  11. Really? I felt the Gandolfini scenes were a bit pointless and felt long and drawn out. I understood what they were trying to do and the way they were trying to portray his character but I didn't feel it added much. I would have much preferred more of Ray Liottas character and how the whole thing was affecting him esp post beating
  12. What were the funky points? At what point did you realise?
  13. Yeh I didn't even contemplate it until the very end, so had desired effect on me. If anyone else Is reading this and thinking of going to cinema this weekend, check this out. Well worth it
  14. The Perks of Being A Wallflower Very good and loads better than I thought it would be. The sort of film everyone will take something different from it and its quite a thought provoking and moving film for some I would think and is quite funny as well. It took me ten minutes after the film had finished for it to finally click what had happened, and if you aren't paying attention near the end or miss a couple of sentences then you will think the film is about something totally different to what it is. 8/10
  15. This looks brilliant!!! Especially for anyone who grew up in the late 80s/90s How many characters can you name from the trailer?? I got quite a few From reading full lst of characters in it, happy to see plenty street fighter, mortal kombat, and classics such as paperboy, frogger and dig dug
  16. Couldn't disagree more - thought it was brilliant and is in contention for being my film of the year. Really looking forward to seeing it for the second time
  17. I hate Will Ferrell and that whole kind of comedy. Not my cup of tea at all. I won't be going to see the campaign as I know I won't like it. I appear to be in minority that thought Anchorman was a pile of crap and not funny. I think the only Ferrell film I like is Old School and that's mainly the other characters. But there is clearly a market for this kind of humour so each to their own
  18. The first episode of season two is excellent. Its a show that consistently improves as it goes on.
  19. Season 3 starts tonight on Sky Atlantic - well worth watching
  20. Seven Psychopaths is meant to be excellent and has drawn early comparisions to Pulp Fiction not sure about that but it still looks good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOsd5d8IVoA
  21. Huge night for Homeland at the Emmys last night. It picked up awards for best drama and Claire Danes and Damien Lewis picked up best male/ female lead actors
  22. The Impossible got rave reviews on all the previews - its the true story of a family in the 2004 Tsunami that got broken apart and finding each other again. Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts
