I'm not sure about Hippolyte at all, although there seems to be a bit of a clamour from some fans to see him in the team. I see his signing as a bit of a punt really. Hopefully we'll see the good stuff that he can produce rather than the shit stuff that he comes up with as well some times. I'd much rather that Houstie had given some game time to O'Hara today. He needs games at the right time to help develop him and I felt today was a perfect opportunity for that. If I'm honest, and possibly reading between the lines somewhat, I wonder if there's a wee problem attitude wise with O'Hara? I have heard some whispers that that may be the case. Edited to add that, is it just me or has O'Hara made a significant difference in every game he's taken part in? Most exciting prospect we've had in a while (striking wise) in many years IMO.

Scott Arfield's an exceptionally good player. Not the best to come out of the academy by any means but very good nonetheless.

That's it in a nutshell for me. I think he defends pretty well for a midfielder being played at left back, he does lose his man at times though. Would like to see him in a proper wing back role with 3 at the back. Edit to say that I think his form started to dip a bit when the speculation about signing the new contract started, will be interesting to see if he gets back to his best game now that the situation has been settled?

That's the point I'm trying to make. Milne was generally sound but his howlers were regular. Flynn gave us a howler in almost every game he played but was ok most of the time and his attitude was excellent.

When I think of some of the CH's we've had eg, Flynn, Milne who've made some real howlers, he's really not that bad. He's quite consistent actually. We've had some others like Ireland and Khalis who were just bad all the time.

Sibbald isn't a wide player. He's forced to play in that position because he's left footed and we don't have any one better. Possibly the very reason that Hippolyte was brought in is to allow us to move Sibbald central?

Based on what I've seen I wouldn't say he's any better than Alex Cooper and I don't think anyone can question Cooper's on-field attitude? Considering that it was Houstie that signed him I think there must have been some sort of falling out between the two yet I haven't read any rumours of reasons for this.

Best attacking full back in my time has been Stuart Kennedy, no doubt about it. I'm too young to have seen Alex Parker though.

I don't think we were ever linked to Billy Mehmet, I think that the same mistake was made at the time.

Crowds not big enough? Actually though, that may well have been a factor. I remember some cracking games against Cowdenbeath, Not going back to WW2 though before you ask!

He most certainly is. Many of us also like Jim Leishman however who's a fine fellow and a good laugh.

Remember at Livingston that wee back heeled flick to Duffie who crossed for mad Phil to get his hat trick? Edit to say that I'd be really unhappy if he moves. I think he's a cracking player although he has lost his way a bit, particularly last season. Coming back to nearer his best form again now though and If I was Houstie I'd be offering him a pay rise!
