  1. Cheers! Both of them were market drifters as well so glad I hadn't taken the early price. Still need One Hour to come in to have any kind of return from the Western Art bet, however with Cashel Mead's win I'm already well in profit for today. Shame I hadn't doubled the first 2 as it would have returned 70/1
  2. Todays horses are all at Sandown: Cashel Mead 2.05 Topatoo 3.50 2 singles and a double A double on Western Art (2.40) & One Hour (4.25) One Hour is my preferred bet of the day but needing to keep some cash so doubled it rather than just a single.
  3. Yeah it was 11-10 when I was first in bookies but I didn't get it on as I was looking at other races. By the time I went to bet it was at the SP of 4-5. Just about to go put on todays bets. I'll post them on my return.
  4. Well it did win but at the suitably short price of 4-5. Going by the commentary at the bookies it was a trot up job. Commentator said it had pulled over 6l clear before being eased up and still won by 2l
  5. Only one horse appealing to me today. Legal Eagle in the 6.50 at Newbury. Will go off at a short price though.
  6. 1 out of 3 from yesterday. I think the winnings will get put on Borderlescott today in the 3.40 at Haydock. Horse done really well for me last year, here is hoping it can continue that this year.
  7. I've taken Admiralofthefleet in the 2.20 at Chester and Dee Cee Elle in the 3.00 at Nottingham. Also had the unplaced favourite in the first at Lingfield.
  8. His tips must be working but his naps aren't. According to the Sporting Life Naps table he's lost his last 13 naps. Only the Yorkshire Post is worse than that (22 wrong in a row). If Galient can beat the draw its definitely worth a shout. I like Fair Along for that race but again its a bit on the high side of the draw and could do with Good ground rather than the good/firm at the moment. Reckon my only bets will be on tonights racing at Kelso though- just looking at the card at the moment. Fast Feet in the opener at Chester is slightly tempting, I was at Musselburgh races on Friday when it finished 2nd to Ingleby Star and it didn't do a whole lot wrong that day.
  9. Wise decision. Finished 6th in the 3.30 at Cheltenham.
  10. No harm done- or at least not in my case. Didn't actually realise it was a 5f race. Not my favourite to get involved in.
  11. Sporting Life website for me. Only check it for prices/racecards and results though. No sure if theres a commentary/video option. Efistorm won that 4.15 @ 7's.
  12. Looks like a decent shout- definitely wouldn't rule out its chances. Unfortunately no way of me getting to a bookies for it - or being able to bet online. Having said that I'd maybe end up swaying between a few others as well (Nusoor and Figaro Flyer would hold some appeal) so maybe its not a bad thing.
  13. DJP is right. 4/1 on an each way bet at quarter the odds will recover exactly your total staked. £25 e/w at 4/1 = £50 staked 4/1 divided by 1/4 = 1. 1 x £25 = £25 'won' + £25 stake returned = £50. Obviously if its a fifth the odds you need 5/1 or better to break even.
