Put some loose change from my account on Gone To Lunch for the National today. Heading to the bookies shortly to put on a few more. Looking forward to seeing how Frankel goes in the Greenham but won't be betting..

Big Bucks is my only bet so far. Bookies at lunchtime will no doubt see a few more being put on though.

Been given a tip for today. Ackertak in the 4.10 at doncaster. Its been well gambled already today. Also had a bet on Jubail in the 3.10 at doncaster. Thats a pick of my own tho.

Storming Gale goes in the 2.10 at Carlisle today. I backed him last time out when he won @ 6's and have some interest on him for the Albert Bartlett at the Festival. Won't be backing today due to the price but hopefully he wins easy. One that I will back though is Royal Chatelier in the 3.50 at Hereford. I also backed him last time out when he won over C&D, I thought the jockey gave him a cracking ride that day and he's back up top today and doesn't have a penalty to carry for the win. Main concern is the fact the ground is heavy but from what I can remember it was pretty poor when he won (although the description that day was good to soft, soft in places it seemed more of a slog than that when I watched it)..

Had a lot of shorter priced efforts that I liked but would have involved either heavy stakes or doubles/trebles

Went for a win patent at Taunton: 2.30 Brampour 3.30 Credit Swap 5.00 Prince of Denial Fancy A Media Luz in her race at Huntingdon but won't be backing at the price.

2.25 Sedgefield Any Given Moment Have to hope it's jumping is better than last time right enough.

I've bet on Fourjacks in the 3.20 at Newcastle today. This horse had seconditis in it's bumper races so hoping that going over hurdles will see it get itself first past the post.

After two 2nd's and a winner yesterday meant no return I've decided to just go with a single today. 2.25 Ffos Las Storming Gale Saw some good reports on this one although it's only debuting today.

Some of the sites have a nap me function which will send you an alert when the horse is racing. I know Sporting Life do that where it's 20/25 horses you can have free alerts for. I get mine from gg.com which I don't think has a limit (i've got over 40 on mine anyway) - get an email sent the day before the horse is due to run - you can also sign up for texts but it costs per alert. Only one bet for me today. 1.00 at Sedgefield - Tiptoeaway. The fav is pretty well fancied though so it's not carrying too much cash!.

8/11 is the price I've taken for Master Minded. Happy enough with that price as I can't see anything in the field beating him. Only bet I have put on so far for Cheltenham this year is on MM to win back the Champion Chase.

I've went with Master Minded as one of my three bets today.....short price but just can't seep past him (had the same opinion on Kauto last week righ enough!) Other bets are Carole's Legacy in the 1.50 at Ascot and Soldatino in the 2.55 there. Disappointed about Haydock being off as I had a couple picked out for there. Probably saved me losing cash right enough!

I've took Any Given Moment in the same race. Going by my form from Saturday it's likely to finish 2nd though!
