I was quite surprised it was only money back for 2nd given the number of runners too.
I've also taken Gabriel the Saint. Don't think the owner has had a winner at Chester yet this week which is quite unusual albeit he has a few others today to let him break that run.
My picks in the 1st race have been dreadful all week so not too confident.
I liked both Forest Bihan and Duke of Navan here but given the plunges that have taken place on the fav for its last couple of entries I'll take the unimaginative approach of backing him.
La Bague Au Roi for me. Can't argue at all with her form this season, it's top drawer. Slight concern with her previous seasons form when it hits April but that was in bumpers and hurdles.
Equilateral for me. Hills horses going extremely well with 3 winners from 5 runners so far. Raced at Donny once last season and won by 8l over this distance. I'm not a huge fan of early season flat racing though.
Kildisart for me today, struggling to split Lost in Translation and Defi given their previous runs so will go with one that's not encountered them yet.
Was between Klassical Dream and Angels Breath yesterday and went with the wrong one.
Today I'm between Battleoverdoyen and Brewin'upastorm. I've went with the latter through greed more than anything else.
Not had much time to look due to a sickly daughter and it looks a tough race to call. Should really just leave it alone but that's not much fun. Champagne Well is my one against the field.
Seems like almost every runner is getting a mention which probably says it all about the race. I'm taking a pop with Bordeaux Bill just to add another of the runners to the mentions.
Don't have a Betway account, might need to investigate that over the next fortnight if they offer it again. I thought previous years the skybet 1st race loser offer had just been free bets rather than cash. Definitely be using it this year.
I see they are doing cash back offer on first bet of first race each day of Cheltenham but on all losers not just a certain place. Seems like a cracking offer.
Tough race today but I've went with Mister Malarkey. Quite like the previous form of the horse he smashed up last time out (Carlos de Fruitier who won at Sandown yesterday). Can make a case for pretty much the entire field though so not hugely confident.
