El McFuddin
Throw that referee to the lions more like. The reason the game was abandoned was that he declared the 4th official was not competent enough to referee the match in his place. WHO THE PHUK DOES THAT RUBBERY LOOKIN NONCE THINK HE IS!!!!!!!!!????????? Hopefully UEFA will censure Roma and this ludicrous character of a referee. He's got to be the centre of attention in every bloody game he does. Referees as celebrities is just taking things beyond the pale.

El McFuddin
No it wasn't. The game was abandoned because they couldn't guarantee the safety of the officials The game is not about the officials. When officials decide they can scrap games for fear of their own safety (aye right) the lunatics really have taken over the asylum. This guy clearly has ideas above his station. How many Roma fans paid into the game AND DIDNT THROW COINS only for the precious Swede to scrap it 'cause he got a cut in the head? And how many were watching on tv? Happened to Dallas at Parkheid and he dusted himself down and got on with one of the hardest games in World football. This guy deserves the book thrown at him only after the idiot who threw the object. The guy is a first class megalomaniac and while there's no excuse for the idiot who threw the object, the referee should never be allowed near a UEFA/FIFA game agin if he thinks he's more important than the contest. miketheheadlesschicken
Frisk had to be helped to the medical room. The cut to Dallas' head wasn't that bad. From your post, it's obvious that you hate Frisk and referees in general because that last post was absolute nonsense.
El McFuddin
The 'celebrity' that comes with being a match official nowadays, and the prima donna characters attracted to the job, I will admit to finding both annoying and ridiculous. Guilty!
miketheheadlesschicken
The referee was injured by an object thrown from the crowd. He couldn't continue due to his injury and, after discussions, they decided that the safety of the other officials cannot be guaranteed, which it clearly couldn't. Yet you think he was being a primadonna? Why should people risk serious injury just because "the game is not about officials"? Football isn't that important. It's absolutely ridiculous that you are focusing on the actions of the referee rather than the person who threw the object.

Was there a pack of ravenous wolves in the stadium hell bent of eating them alive? Were their trained marksmen in the stadium ready to shoot as soon as they got a clear shot at Frisk? Or were their infact hundreds of police officers and stewards their to deal with the situation. The guy is a primadonna, end of and you can be guaranteed that privately if not publicly, UEFA will be livid that he cancelled the game despite what any delegates at the match thought. Let's just see if he gets any games when the comp gets into its later stages or if UEFA decide he's a liability and quietly send him out to the cold. Was there a pack of ravenous wolves in the stadium hell bent of eating them alive? Were their trained marksmen in the stadium ready to shoot as soon as they got a clear shot at Frisk? You seem to have, probably deliberately, misunderstood the reason for abandoning the game. Nobody suggested that the officials may be killed. That doesn't mean that a volatile crowd weren't capable of injuring another official or one of the players. Or do you think that being hit by objects thrown from the crowd is an acceptable part of a referee's job? Or were their infact hundreds of police officers and stewards their to deal with the situation. That would be the same police officers and stewards that failed to stop someone injuring the referee? The guy is a primadonna, end of End of what? You have yet to give a reasonable reason for why you think Frisk is a primadonna. you can be guaranteed that privately if not publicly, UEFA will be livid that he cancelled the game despite what any delegates at the match thought. How exactly can you guarantee that unless you have access to the inner workings of UEFA? Your comment is the same as me saying that privately, if not publicly, UEFA will be happy that the game was abandoned and that no one else was injured. We have no idea which is correct. Let's just see if he gets any games when the comp gets into its later stages or if UEFA decide he's a liability and quietly send him out to the cold. Of course he'll be given games. Why shouldn't he be? And you think he's a liability? Because he got hit by an object thrown from the crowd?

Neilly
Frisk thought his 4th official couldn't handle the game as he was too inexperienced, so why the f**k was he the 4th official in the first place? If it was say Collina(or a more experienced official) the fourth official theres no doubt the game would have continued regardless of the "atmosphere". Roma should get chucked out of the competition never mind just giving the points to Kiev

David W
That fan, should be banned for life and given a jail sentence for his troubles. The most Roma should get is a hefty fine. One fan's stupidity should not spoil the tournament for the rest of the fans, the players and the staff of the club.
Ray Vaughn
Roma wont get chucked out - too much money involved. Spot on. The Germans, Spanish, English and Italians will never get the heavy stuff like points docked or thrown out. It'll be a heavy fine. Remember: If the Estonians had failed to turn out against one of the above nations, do you think the game would have be replayed in Monaco? I think not! I think not! I think it was more to do with us having Sweden in our group and the head of UEFA, Lennart Johansson, was Swedish. David Will, who was eligible to vote on it, was asked to leave the meeting as he was Scottish and could be seen to biased. Johansson stayed and voted on it despite Sweden being one of our rivals for qualification.
